I don't care where the beer is made as long as it tastes good and does the job. Heck you could make it yourself and I would give it a go. The only reason I buy any domestic at all is the price. 1 six pack of Guinness is the same price as a case of Busch. Always the battle between quality VS quantity.

That doesn,t frighten you??

Yeah, I'd prefer one good beer any day over 6 that tasted like tin foil.

I always drank original Coors Banquet Beer(it's a non-union brewery you know) but I do have a soft spot for Abita, Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada. My lovely bride was a bud light drinker, so we compromised and drink coors light when I'm at home.

Yea it does to a certain extent, but a couple of not so great beers is better than no beers at all. The only beer that resembles tin foil is Blatz and warm Miller high life. A really nasty beverage is Corona - isn't that called an import beer?

Z-Monkey,

Do you know how I can get some Blatz around here? I thought that they stopped making that stuff and I haven't had one in years. For me, the cheaper the beer the better. That micro brew/import stuff is just too heavy, its like drinking bread.

Can any of you beer experts recommend a beer that is not bitter or real strong?

When Blue Moon comes out with it's winter seasonal ("Full Moon") GET IT.

Abita Amber or Purple Haze
Killians
Rogue, Dead Guy
Sam Addams Cherry Wheat
Anchor Steam
Hoegaarden
Flying Dog (there's a display at Maggio's). The Imperial Stout is hearty but worth the try
Samuel Smith

I like the heartier stuff personally.

Thanks for the list. I'll give some of them a try. Some of that stuff sounds like it should be illegal. Now some of you may laugh but my favorite beer of all time was Michelob Dark. I don't think they make it anymore. Is there anything out there like that?
