Charity Sighting

I was told not too long ago to log on to this site that someone had posted a sighting of myself in Natchitoches Parish and people were upset about this. Just to set the record straight I am in another state undergoing treatment for my drug addiction. I am happy to say I have almost 7 months clean and am turning my life around. I am very grateful for this opportunity to make myself a better person so maybe next time people have a "Sighting" it will be a positive thing not a negative.

Good for you! As one who's been clean & sober for 20 years (except a couple of beers now & again!), I know it's always harder for OTHERS to get over it. Especially in Natchitoches. People still think & say the same things of me that they said over 20 years ago in this town. I'm actually surprised that I haven't seen my name on here, as I've mentioned previously.

I don't even know you, but it's good to hear that at least you're trying to change & make your life better. Remember, it is YOUR life & we all only get one here on this earth...

I have to accept that not everyone is going to believe me or understand why I did the things I did. All I can do is work on changing everything about myself and hopefully in time I will show people that change is possible.

Yeah, whatever, your ass should be in jail now just as the others in Natchitoches. Jail time should have been your rehab program,as in jail, unless you have crooked jailers, you would have been forced to suffer the withdrawals. But, you were able to beat the system. Are you willing to tell us how? Who pulled the strings to keep your ass out of jail? No guts, no glory. You want to post on this forum seeking sympathy, get a grip.

Actually I am not seeking sympathy and did withdraw in Jail. I was in jail for over 4 months before I went to rehab thank you.

And why did you not pay the price that others in Natchitoches pay for the same crime? You didn't answer the question, who pulled the strings for you? With your record, how did you manage to get the deal you got? And don't even say you didn't get special treatment as everyone in Natchitoches knows differently.

Sounds like you are JEALOUS! What happened? Did you or one of your loved ones get busted?

I have also been off of hard drugs for over 2 years now. You people need to support recovering addicts, not degrade them. It could happen to your kids too, especially in the N-town.

I appreciate the support, and it is unfortunate that everyone who needs rehabilitation never gets the chance to get it,but I was very lucky to get this last chance and plan on making the best of it. I dont expect people to understand or believe me, as long as I believe in myslef thats all that matters. Im just very grateful to have this opportunity to change my life.

Has anyone in your rehab group explained that it would be better if you not return to your old stomping grounds and be near the people you knew before rehab? Has anyone tried to educate you so that you will be able to get a job? So that you don't have to rely on drug sales to make a living. That is usually a condition of the rehab. Not to be around the same old friends...as people that do return and hang out with old friends tend to go back to using. When you weigh how long you used to how long you have been clean...which outweighs the other? And even after your rehab, and you are clean, will you ever have to spend a single day in jail for the crimes you committed? Rehab is fine, but honey, you broke the law when you had enough drugs on you for distribution. I didn't know there was a rehab for distribution charges!
