THE LAW IS THE LAW!
I really love this one
This is one of the better e-mails I have received in a long time! I hope this makes its way around the USA several

times over!!!!! So Be It!

THE LAW IS THE LAW
So 'if' the US government determines that it is against the !
law for the words 'under God' to be on our money, then,
so be it.

And 'if' that same government decides that the
'Ten Commandments'
are not to be used in or on a
government installation, then, so be it.

I say,'so be it,' because I would like to be a
law abiding US citizen.

I say,'so be it,' because I would like to think that
smarter people than I are in positions to make good decisions.

I would like to think that those people have the
American public's best interests at heart.

BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?

Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot post His Commandments in Government buildings, I don't believe the Government and its employees should participate in the Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor the God that our government is eliminating from many facets of American life.

I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter. After all, it's just another day.
I'd like the ' US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as
well as Sundays.' After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives to not have to worry about getting home for the 'Christmas Break.' After all it's just another day.

I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all government offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter. It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other day of the week to a government that is trying to be 'politically correct.'
In fact....

I think that our government should work on Sundays (initially set aside for worshipping God...) because, after all, our government says that it should be just another day....
What do you all think????

If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected officials will stop giving in to the 'minority opinions' and begin, once again, to represent the 'majority' of ALL of the American people.</ SPAN>
SO BE IT..........

Please Dear Lord,
Give us the help needed to keep you in our country!
'Amen' and 'Amen'
Touche!

These are definitely things I never thought about but
from now on, I will be sure to question those in
government who support these changes.

At the top, it says 'I hope this makes its way around
the USA several times over!!!!!'
Let's see that it does.

Christmas and Easter are actually Pagan holidays adopted and changed to Christians' liking. There are other religions other than Christianity. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with being a Christian, a lot of my family is, but it is not the only one out there and the "my way or you're going to hell" attitude of a lot of Christians may be why there are so many new age religions out there ^.~ FYI..Native American Religion..is a form of Paganism.

The point was everyone is getting anal over the seperation of church and state, I got that. I was trying to enlighten some who may believe that the world and America should revolve around Christians. In the email, I quote, "I think that our government should work on Sundays (initially set aside for worshipping God...)" Sundays were not set aside for worshipping God, Sundays were initially set aside for Worshipping the SUN God Apollo. But since I was making my own point in this thread, and overlooking how some feel that since there is a seperation of church and state, then anyone who holds a government job should not be able to spend a religious holiday with their families..Which btw, a lot of Christian Soldiers won't be here for Christmas this year, and they sure don't get Sundays off, just as Wiccan Soldiers won't be home for Sabbaths, and Jewish Soldiers won't be home for Haunaka (Sp?). Stop being so selfish, is my point )O(

That is a great e-mail...it makes many great points. However, we all know that our elected officials would never go for that.

Im sure that there will be some negative posts to this e-mail you received (because everything is a da** arguement) BUT, this country was founded on Christian beliefs and morals and the majority of those who signed that line on our foundation were Christians as well. though many people have tried over the years to argue this point, none have been successful....and they never will be. You simply cant change FACT, they can only hope to forget or overshadow the facts.

I pray that if these issues ever became so dire that serious changes were contimplated, the citizens of this country have the final say-so.

Christianity is taking a beating in this country right now (and this will probably never let up). This nation is open to different cultures, religions, etc. and I agree 100% with this open-arm policy....as long as its not abused. But, the balance has swayed in such a way that Christianity and the rites/tradition it entails are being attacked daily... this is sad to me when you consider that many Christians over the years in some seat of power were those helping this country become more tolerant...accept the poor and the hungary from every other nation.

there are people who have catered these off days to their liking. notice no Jews are bitching about Hanukkah not being honored or Pagans pissy about the solstice not having a day off. reasonably so i take this time to see those i care about since it is time given off but in no way do i relate it to religion; it's just a convenience for me, a crazy "non-believer".

i do believe in paid vacations.

this country was founded on the ability for one to have freedom of religion because the English couldn't sit due to the stick up their arse. has anyone taken colonial history?

Another thing this email doesn't take into account is that all of those Christian holidays listed tend to line up with the holidays of other religions.

There's a lot of cross-over, since the Christians were just some cult that stole from everybody else anyway. So that 'Christmas holiday' the Senate takes encompasses several religious holidays from other faiths, for example.

So it's not okay because it takes away from other faiths? So, other faiths have more relevance and priority over Christianity?

1) Stealing is wrong, it says so in the bible.

2) To people of those other faiths, yes, to Christians, no.

No faith should have more relevance and priority over other faiths in the eyes of the government.

Sooo, for what holiday do you buy the gifts for?
The "I don't believe in Christ but I'm buying gifts anyway" holiday?
BTW, Merry Christmas :)
