The guy drving the ford was drunk and stupid. When u drink and drive people cant feel sry for u b/c u put urself in the situation so by doin that, u not only hurt that person, u effect the many others who some how was effected by the tragedy.

Is this the Rodney that worked at Boise? If so, I know who he is and I'd like to send my condolences to his wife and family.

No he worked at a steel factory in Alexandria.

The best thing for anyone to do right now is go see her. She needs all the comfort she can get. She needs to know that people are out there that care. So please go by and see her. She needs it.

Does anyone know about his daughter I think she was my classmate. If this is who I am thinking about this poor girl has had some ruff times. My heart goes out to her. I think she is a very strong young women.

I am Rodney's cousin. On behalf of the LaCour family, thank you for your kind thoughts and continued prayers! Please continue to lift Cynthia, Rodney's daughters and sons in your prayers. The service is planned for Monday.

PRINCESS, i did not realize the whole story until today when i saw it in the paper, that is why i said i dont judge anyone, because i did not know the whole story. and yes he should have never got behind the wheel. i have been threw this situation before where i lost my best friend to a drunk driver, and i know how hard it is. but i was also angry and resentfull towards the one who did this. i learned a long time ago in order to be able to live my own life i needed to forgive that person. i finally had a chance after 15yrs to see the person who killed my best friend and he said to this day he will never forgive or forget what he did and he said he also feels god will never forgive him either. that is another reason i said the guilt will eat him alive.

i just dont understand one thing if the guy already had some warrants out for his arrest why in the heck was he let out on the streets. he should have already been in jail. i guess i will never understand this system.....

I know this family and it isn't fair that a repeat offender was not in jail or at least house arrest with a tracking device on. Cynthia, I offer you my prayers and whatever I can help with. You know my number from weekends past when the children were sick. If a LOVE Fund is already set-up would a family member please post it on this forum.

I have known Rodney since he was a young lad here in Chicago. I just recieved the news and am sickened by it. Why people wnat to drink and drive is beyond me. This is a sad day for all that know Rod and we here in Chicago pray that Lord will help to ease the sorrow of the passing of Rodney. To Mr.& Mrs. Calvin LaCoure, you know we love you very much. all i know is that God's grace is always sufficient for what ever we must face, no matter how tragic. what makes me angry was the guy ran off and probably didnt even check on rodney. he just left him there in truck. what a sorry peice of low life scum of the earth garbage trash bag loser .....

well then i suppose someone needs to correct the natchitoches times because it said that he "fled the scene" and was "found hiding be a tree" and then somewhere else i heard that he turned himself in.....i apologize for making a comment on supposed false info but then again wasent he driving down the WRONG SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY !!!
