Natchitoches students charged with contaminating school milk

I wonder what this is going to cost the taxpayers of natchitoches parish? When will the school board and Dr. Murphy admit they made a mistake in placing the current inexperienced principal at Lakeview? It is my understanding that all of these students mixed the milk in a teacher's class. This particular teacher, according to students, often leave them unattended. This has been going on all year and the principal knew about it and did nothing to prevent this.The principal should be charged for neglect of duties and teachers in his charge. This is not a racial issue! These students put all of the children at risk at Lakeview High School, black and white! It is only by chance that these were black students and one of the children was black. God forbid that if these had been white students who did this deed! In fact, the boy who put the milk in the cooler was the brother of the 3 year old child who drank it! He is a member of the very same family who is always calling for the removal of white administrators and calling community meetings in Clarence. What goes around, comes around! When LHS goes into corrective action, you may see white flight from the school! My son will be the first to go!

This is why everyone should not have an opinion, becuz this new principal whether white or black has a major task on his hand trying to build a new program becuz the principal before him, who just happened to be white (but its not a black or white thing) screwed that school up. He did not care about the children, and the teaching staff does not care about the children, this is the same staff that old principal pretty much hand picked over the years he was there and you are going to blame this on the new young inexperienced principal. You may have a point about the former administration! But, wasn't the current principal part of that administration? So by your logic, this makes him part of the "uncaring faculty". He was promoted by the former principal for his current principal. Talk about graditute! And what is this new program to which you refer?

Your anology of the Ark and the Titanic is somewhat skewed! Noah was hardly inexperienced! He as a master carpenter who had a boss who knew how to pick the right man for the right job. Unfortantly, the current principal did not have that priviledge. Noah had a plan-this principal does not! All he has is a since of entitlement and no idea what he is doing. The Titanic sank because of poor choices on the part of the representative of the company who owned the ship. He had no idea as to what he was doing. Reminds you of anyone? Man the life boats, because this ship is sinking!

im just glad the children are ok....i dont know what i would have done if that would have been my child who drank the milk...

i am sick of this white/black thing too. the whole point is that these little kids could have been seriously injured because someone was not watching the older kids.

You'd think the admin. would have learned from the incidents at NCHS. A young boy was molested because the teacher/coach was not in the room. It's a no-brainer: Don't leave children unattended.

That is exactly the point. This was an act of terrorism perpetrated against any unspecting student or child! These students should be tried under the current terrorism laws.

This was not an act of terrorism. This was simply kids being kids but making a bad choice of not throwing away the contaminated milk. I am just happy that the children who drank the milk are okay. Thats whats important here. As for the kids who mixed the milk, they are in trouble for what they have done.

trying to make another Jena 6 out of this?? Who cares what color anyone is it's a discription most of the time. thank god the kids are ok! hope those kids learn from their bad choices and are punished as seen fit not just for publicity sake. I know of white kids who have done things just as bad and other races for that fact and just with any race kids don't think alot of times we have to teach them to do that before they act!

I would like to say that yes what the kids did was wrong, but through it all we need not to try and make this another JENA 6 issue. Anybody could have did this and what would have been said if it was a group of white students. I'm not being racial because I'm married to a white man. And on the other hand anybody's child could have gotten a hold of that container of milk. Even though all kinds of devilish things are running through our minds lets stay focus and take better care of our children.

Check out fairview school on campti forum mrs news and clarence are supposedly the mother of the boy involved and daughter drank the milk. Always arguing about how bad the school is and talking about teachers and principal, then her kids are the ones in on this poor girl was poisoned by her brother.

Allright!!! I don't know why you people keep playing the RACE card, but this is not a black/white issue. The facts are this: these delinquent teens endangered the lives of kids at school who were only trying to eat the food provided for them. And one of those kids IS MY NIECE. I am so angry that this happened to her. She will probably be scarred for life over this. Contrary to the reports that she is 3 years old, she is almost 5 and thank God she is intellegent enough to have noticed that the milk tasted funny. And I thank God now that she is ok after this ordeal. I am outraged that this happened to my niece and I feel that justice needs to be served to the offenders...all of them. I don't care about race or age. If you do something wrong as a minor, you still did something wrong and you should pay the consequences. Just knowing that this kind of thing happens in our public schools makes me even more glad that I don't have children of my own to subject to this kind of domestic terrorism.

Oh come on, "this was simply kids being kids", I think not! These kids were old enough to know what they done could seriously hurt or even kill someone. No, I wouldn't say that it was an "act of terrorism" eiher, but to take up for them by saying they were just being kids, that is wrong! They should be punished and educated on the consequences of what they done.

I am very glad that your niece did not suffer any longstanding health complications from the criminal acts of these juvenile delinquents. Has your family considered taking the parents of these jd.'s to civil court? they should have to pay for any medical costs and mental anguish the victims and their families have suffered through.

Just curious, but why was an almost five year old child enrolled in a three year old program? The program at Lakeview is for three year olds. Any child who was four years old by Sept. 30, 2007 is not supposed to be in that class, but they can be in preschool at Fairview or Goldonna.
