There has been no taser abuse!!!!! Sometimes I think alot of the idiots on this forums need to be abused with a taser. From the information that I have obtained you have to go through a training to be certified to carry a taser and you also have to be tased with one yourself. So the officer's know what it feels like and what it does to the body when tased.

If you research the taser's electricity usage maybe you could understand why a taser is hard to kill a person. Voltage from electricity does not kill people however the OMHS in an electrical current is what kills humans. The taser uses 0.03 OMHS and it takes 1.0 OMHS to kill a person. Go talk to any electrician and they will tell you.

There was a crowd of people in the parking lot hollering at Roque to stop tasing victim because he was holding the taser on her for so long. As for what she did or did not do, that is up to her if she wants to say or not. But she was in such a position that she could not move. There were plenty of witneses to this. As for size comparison, she definitely would be no match for Roque and therefore was in no way a danger to him. I guarantee that she was wrongfully tased.

That sounds a lot like bull shit honey. And it sounds like you are being an instigator in the matter. If your friend wants EVERYONE to know what possibly happened to her then she would have filed a complaint against Off. Roque. But obviously she was in the wrong or breaking the law and probably was arrested for it. That is why SHE presents no evidence of this situation and you are the one telling the deceptive story.

This is great news. Get that cop (Roque) fired. If he taased Victim for 60 seconds like you say, he should be terminated. Ya see tasers only fire for 5 seconds. This means that he activated the taser 12 times on your friend.

As you may not be aware,(but every cop who carries it is) every time a taser functions, the date, time and duration are recorded on a microchip and can be downloaded by authorities to prevent police abuse. Soooo, make a complaint to Internal Affairs. If he did indeed abuse your innocent friend then the irrefutable evidence is locked away on his taser, unless of course you’re……..mistaken.

I will say that when I got taserd it seemed like 5 minutes, but it was in fact 5 seconds…….it was 5 seconds…..that’s 5 seconds.

I also find it interesting that of all the cops that have been tasered, and yes it is far more than civilians, not one cop has died or been injured. Somehow I don’t think it’s because cops are in such great shape. Ya think maybe when an innocent citizen gets tased and injured/dies it could be those other contributing factors such as heroine, PCP, cocaine, meth…..etc. in the bloodstream? Just a thought.

i did file a complaint.. and i do know that the taser has a microchip
i know i was in the wrong, shouldn't have been fighting, but I can promise that i didn't deserve to be tased while laying on my back on the ground.. how is that a threat to officer roque?
i guess it's not up to me to decide "legally" if it was right or wrong, but i feel like his force was excessive, and things could have EASILY been handled otherwise.

Your remarks just prove that you have no training in self defense. It is proven fact that a small female can hurt you just as bad or worse that a male subject your equal size or larger. You said she had several scars well the taser has 2 prongs and if you dry fire it it still has 2 contact area's and you said that he held it on her? If that is true then she might have only 2 scars if this is true.

So in other words you was getting your azz beat and then you lie about how many times you was tased and now you expect us to take your word at face value that you did not deserve to be tased. o please Bet when your told again to do something by an officer you do it want you or get you azz tased again

some on here say that a small female is no match for the officer, but if he is in a large cround and starts fighting her the rest of the croud and her friends could jump on him. at least with the taser he could see everyone else and was not jumped from behind. and it has happened before. the way i see it he was doing the smart thing

My neighbor works for the pd and said there HAVE been several complaints filed against Mr. Roque. However victim was obviously doing something wrong to get tasered. That being said, I still don't think she deserved to be tasered like that given Roque's history.

I am old and crippled and I can handle a little girl fighting. I think a simple extended elbow move would solve that problem.

Not all people tased are full of pcp, crack, meth, alcohol, etc. Some of old, some have heart problems, some are crazy some are old, some or really young. Tasers are misused more than you want to admit. This topic would have died long ago if you just tell the truth and say, sometimes we do tase people that could have been handled another way. Like they say, the truth will set you free.

Well Sunflower if youe NEIGHBOR works for the NPD and they divulged that information to you they should have evidence to support it. I have worked in a few different divisions inside the P.D. and Roque sometimes can be Hard headed by he does his job. The Few times he had been in front of Internal Affairs it did not pertain to his work while on patrol. I know i was on the Board that Executed the decision.

THANK YOU!!!! Some of the idiots think they know everything. I think everyone that has worked at the N.P.D. has been hard headed at one time or another but they do there job. Nobody is perfect and we all have our on faults. Officer Roque is a good person and is still learning.
