What amazes me is people are always complaining about Walmart, associates included. I work for Walmart and I am thankful for my job. My problems are more so with corporate. We should have a time clock at the entrance. That way associates being stopped on their way out to the door does not have to say, I'm sorry I am not on the clock. Usually I don't mind telling someone where something is or may be, but once you help one there is always someone else that needs help and you have to be back from lunch on time or close to it, because where I work; no one wants to wait longer than they feel they should! And that goes for any and everywhere... People sometimes you should try asking someone that is not wearing a name badge if they are working, rather than just demanding their help! If the tables were turned you might have an attitude when someone cuts into your personal time. And as for the long term associates, alot of those people have been dedicated to making Walmart the multi billion dollar company it is and they don't get anything for it. Not even thanks. Walmart has cut so much out. TBH...I think Mr Sam is rolling over in his grave. I know I would be... Associates are no longer treated like family. And as far as alot of the people; you complainers have encounters with, they are probably some of the people Walmart hires so they don't have to pay their dedicated associates who make more than they want to pay them. Hence the cut in hours... Why pay more when you can get something similar for less...??? To h::: with the quality!!! And people, with Christmas being so close, think of the reason for the season. Everyone has a family, and most would rather be with their families rather than being at work. You all play a role in some of your family members and friends having to be at work when you wish they would be at home or hanging out with you because you are angry when the store or area is closed... So please people, think before you act!!! Not everyone is greedy! Most believe in God and would like to try and abide by his laws...I'm sure everyone needs a day of rest! I don't mean to offend anyone, but I get disgusted seeing all of this negativity about my hometown Walmart. As someone posted earlier, go to the website and call 1-800-walmart!!! They will eventually get down to the bottom of things.

I called Thanksgiving afternoon to see what time a certain item went on sale. The employee that answered the phone said SHE DID NOT KNOW with a snotty attitude! How don't you know and you're in customer service? She did not volunteer to find out either! When I asked her could she find out she left me on hold for ten minutes and I eventually just hung up! They have got to do better!

This is probably the most ridiculous shit I have ever read, please find something better to do with your time. I am sure most of you have families, jobs, school, or something else to devote your time to besides ranting on topix. The people who work at Wal-Mart are human, they will make mistakes, and even have bad days. Shocker right? Anyway what I am saying is you all hide behind a computer screen tearing people down, that isn't going to change anything. If you want something to become better try not being an asshole, and explain to the managers that work there what the problem is, they will work with you to fix it.
PS: I think people would take you more seriously if you tried to at least spell correctly, thanks.
Yes, everyone has bad days! But you get paid to provide a service! Stay home on bad days!

What this local WalNutz needs is for Sam Walton to rise up from his grave, walk through the front doors, examine the mess and do what he did to a store that didn't meet his expectations. He made management lock the doors to any incoming customers, had all customers in the store bring their purchases to the front, tallied them, then let them take their items, free of charge, and leave. He then called the whole store crew to a meeting, fired every last one of them, brought in a new store opening team, they totally cleaned up, restocked and reopened three days later, with all new staff. So he might look a little rough having been buried all these years now, but you can bet your bottom dollar he'd still get that store whipped back into shape in NO time flat. That stiff breeze you feel most of the time is him spinning in his grave over what his heirs have allowed WalNutz to become.
First Walmart is no longer and has not for a long time been owned by the Walton family. Everything is all about the mighty dollar. The company as a whole has placed more and more expectations on the associates, especially the department managers. They have double or in some cases tripled their work load with less or no extra help and no extra pay. I know of 1 department manager who has gone without a raise for 3years because of their pay scale. Walmart is no longer the family friendly company it once was. They are no longer able to celebrate the holidays because they are expected to work unreasonable hours. When a company does not recognize the hard work of their employees it will definitely affect morral which will affect customer service. At the end of the day the salary managment doesn't care how many people the associates had to stop and help, sometimes taking several minutes to talk with the customer to make sure they are fitting the customer with the correct thing, they are only looking to see if you completed ALL the projects that they have given which are unreasonable to start with. If not there is always a threat over the associate's heads to be wrote up. So please before you judge keep this in mind especially in Walmart's service areas where often they are extremely understaffed.

That's the same thing I was saying while I was working there. The morality of the associate body is horribly low. It's simply because they aren't valued and appreciated.
