I was at the march today and I can't believe what you stated in the article. It was a lot more people apposing the Islamic Center than were for it. You said there were about 400 against and even more for it. That is not true. It was closer to 1,000 than 400 against and I would be shocked if it were 200 for the center and they were college students mainly. Your interviews were one-sided. Why can't you be fair and balanced? Investigate some other towns where the muslims have come in like Dearborn Michigan and you will find out that it is more than a religious agenda. Study Islam and you will see that it is 65% political. Study Shira Law. Get educated on Islam and then report!

Nice attempt at a twist though. The question still stands, I live less than a quarter mile from the burial site of a body buried against code with no embalming and no casket. Who wants to drink water filtered through a decomposing human body? These people have committed code violation which begs the question, how many more bodies will they illegally bury?

Agreed "Concerned Citizen". There was around 2/3rds more opponents than proponents of the mosque.

The school will be used to teach hatred towards Christians and Jews to young children and all through their education.
Why are we trying to be so politically correct for groups like muslims. Why wasn't there any public hearings,etc. that involves the residents of the area.
Are the people in the neighborhood going to have to listen to their prayers in their own homes? What about a hearing for the adjoining residents concerning the burial. Bottom line is the Murfreesboro and Rutherford County officials rushed this thru so they would avoid the controversy and be politically correct.
The people of the area did not receive any of the normal hearings or anything and the due process usually given to residents for any developement was not given to them. This needs to be looked at and corrected. All approvals need to be rescended and proper notices go out and hearing held and then decisions made. Problem is that somehow the decision should not be made by the ones already involved in this one. Independent people should be appointed to hold the hearings and make the decisions. If this mean that the body buried on the site needs to be moved then so be it. This was really low the way all the approvals came about and especially the burial. The residents who have lived in the area should come first.
They have been there investing in their homes for a while now and to throw this islamic center in their face is wrong.

boy. this is a problem. they say allah is the only God and his prophet muhammed and the christians say Jesus. the way i would determine the problem is to recognize that the USA was founded under the christian God. just keep that in mind.

soldiers are not in there to practice religion. they are in there to do a job. defend the usa when called to do so. the usa, once again, is founded under the christian God.

Right, and some of our soldiers are not only middle eastern, they are muslims. Like Nidal Hassan and Hasan Akbar. The first one who shot up Fort Hood and the second who killed his superior officers while stationed in Kuwait by rolling grenades into their tent. It has been stated in many security briefings that these groups will move into our communities and become our friends and then turn on us. I don't think racism is the problem, I think alot of people don't truly know what goes on at these complexes so they feel unsafe. How much media attention has been positive about Islam? Pretty much everything we associate these people with is war and terrorism. It is a shame that it is this way, but lots of people fought and died for our right to protest and I am glad to see people taking stand to insure the safety of the community. I just hope there is a peaceful resolution.

Those who are in opposition to this mosque are also in opposition to America. Our nation was founded on freedom and equal rights for all, and this fear that all islamics are terrorists is ignorant and incorrect. Is America the land of the free or the land of bigotry? Any christian worth his beliefs should be feeling love for his fellow man, christian or not, or he is a hypocrite.
