So why does the "patriot act" mandate all employess in the food chain must have a background check? Wouldn't the check reveal if they were an Illegal alien? Couldn't Illegal aliens take down the food chain and would't this be a matter of national security? Not to mention possible diseases carried by the Illegal aliens that work in the food chain....

Refuse to buy products and services from these businesses. I have not bought a Tyson product for a long time, now. I'm living quite well without them. My daughter and I buy pork from a local farmer....it's much tastier (and healthier) than anything from the store. Hit these businesses where it hurts, in the pocket.

Yup - this is what we've all been saying. Business loves illegals as customers and laborers and they bribe the judges and congressmen to let the illegals stay even though the parasites are bankrupting states right and left.

I haven't bought Tyson for several years now and I only shop at Walmart if there is no other choice for finding an item but usually, I can find the items I need locally. I'm several miles from a Walmart so by avoiding them, I also save gas.

IF these Tennessee businesses and professional groups succeed in their lobbying efforts, then they should be deemed traitors to American sovreignty and against the traditional values of America. Americans need to boycott all products and services from this group and all others who are known to hire illegals. All jobs in America are for legal Americans. Support Arizona in in their efforts clean up America, All illegals need to be deported NOW.

As a resident of Tennessee, I can tell you that by a margin of 4 to 1 the people of Tennessee support the Arizona law. We have a illegal population in Tennessee, depending on which newspaper is running the article, of between 50,000(Knox.News.Sentinel.Edit orial) and the more believable 200,000 plus. At one time the population, according to local politicians in my town, of hispanics was 25% of the town. Wal-mart was a circus on the weekend. I do not buy any product that has spanish directions on the package. I do not buy any product that says made in Mexico. I refuse to donate money to any organization that helps support the illegal aliens. We have early voting in our state, and I assure you that NONE of the voter instructions were written in spanish. Interesting? Boycott and VOTE!!

mcss - Well said, I have become much more cognizent of where and by whom a product is made nowadays. Boycott as much as you can mcss, hit them in the pocket. These businesses who hire the illegals are every bit as guity as the illegals themselves. It is aiding and abeting the invasion of this nation by civilians with the ultimate goal of amnesty. The business owners shoud share the same cell, share the same food, share the same latrine for the same amount of time as the illegals. That might change the hiring practices of some of these businesses.

A Walmart bakery employee told me herself that the cakes they sell in the bakery are baked in Mexico and shipped here. She doesn't buy them. Don't forget all the canned and frozen fruits and veggies-they were probably picked by illegals. The clothing? Probably sewn by illegals. The roads you drove to Walmart on? Probably built by some illegals. The bridges you crossed? Probably built by some illegals. Heck, the Walmart building itself was probably built by illegals, or at least roofed by them. If you truly want to boycott illegals, you'll have to become self-sufficient and live off the land and stay at home. Of course, if you go to the hospital, there is a chance that an illegal is employed there cleaning the floors. And there's still the problem of driving on the roads that they've helped build...

Actually, the roads I drive on were built long before the illegals flooded the construction business. I live on an organic farm, we have fruit trees, veggies, etc. and I do my own canning an make my own jelly and dry and freeze foods. In fact we have 3 freezers full. We have chickens, pigs and goats. We also have an abundance of deer, rabbit, dove and quail. Our neighbor across the street makes sausage and cures bacon and makes wine. We trade out and allow him to hunt over here. I've been sewing since I was a child and have owned an alteration and upholstery shop. I have an abundance of denim, purchased when a local company that had been in this town for generations went out of business putting over 600 people out of work. They closed because the denim they made was for Levi Strauss and Strauss moved to Mexico. I make jeans, overalls, jackets, etc. The flour and cornmeal I use are milled locally and I bake my own bread and cakes. We also have a cotton gin here and many people who grow cotton. I rarely buy anything that is not American made. So at least in my case, you can take your "you have to depend on illegal aliens" opinion and shove it!

You people act like American Citizens are absolutely incapable of doing any kind of work requiring manual labor. I will tell you right now that there are plenty of Americans willing to work hard for decent pay. I hire day laborers all the time and I only hire those that are legal to work. There are no jobs that Americans won't do. Tired of the hype wrote: <quoted text> Yeah, everybody knows that the produce sold in Walmart doesn't touch illegal hands. I think illegals should be tried and found guilty of espionage and shot. I got no prob with anyone coming to this country legally. But who wants a criminal coming here and that's just what they are by coming here illegally, criminals. I know a guy in the deigo mob in Cali he said they would just go out in the desert at night and pick them off with their deer rifles while crossing the border. Way I see it they ate only defending our country from an invading horde.

Interesting bit of hypocrisy there, buddy.

There are those who do cross the border illegally who are trying to make a better life. Then there are those who steal your identity, murder, steal, look for hand outs, free medical care, drug smugglers, people smugglers, etc. etc. Should they be killed as they cross the border. Probably not, unless that have weapons. I can not agree to continue to let aliens cross into the USA. Our borders need to be safe, our lands taken back from the drug smugglers, who are killing people. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Do we want to continue to let people in, the results are very clear when you are a victim of crime by an illegal.

If not, there is a chance that illegals make that. Just because something is American made does not mean that it has never touched illegal hands so your argument is still pointless.

Just because something is American made does not mean that it has never touched illegal hands so your argument is still pointless. If you go back and read my original post, you will notice that I said I "RARELY" shop at Walmart. I also stated that I purchase locally and American made items as much as possible. Further more, do you not think there are any American citizens who work in the manufacturing industries? Yes, I have made my own soap and candles, not difficult to do and supplies are easy to come by. They can both be made from tallow. As for being touched by illegal hands, I worked for over 5 years in an international bakery with approximately 350 people from other countries, many of them illegal. They are no longer there because of an ICE raid and they now use E-Verify. If you think I am going to be upset or feel guilty that an illegal might have made something I purchased, you are wrong. I try to buy American made and that is not always possible but still far more possible then you would like to think. At any rate, it is still illegal for them to work in this country if they do not have proper papers and I still expect our immigration laws to be enforced, our borders to be secured and the sovereignty of our country kept in tact.
