They planned the meeting down to the last details? The supporters drew lottery numbers out of a Christmas cookie tin, for crying out loud. The meeting was delayed by more than an hour because they didn't know what they were doing. This meeting never should've been scheduled along with a regularly planned commission meeting.

Working as a land planner for many years it's exciting to see an intelligent design that conserves land for future generations to enjoy and reduces sprawl and all the waste and pollution that goes with that sprawl.

One bridge to the south and Hwy 12 to the north will be the only access? For a development that size? Imagine only two very restrictive ways into and out of downtown and how traffic would be during rush hours. How can this work? Not only would the bend be affected, what about all of the traffic headed to west Nashville to access the bridge? West Nashville, do you want that? This will affect both sides of the river.

Maybe they will use the river and the wonderful River Taxis to shuttle people during rush hour.

Of course, there is the old fairy that could alleviate some of the congestion. Whooooaaaa!
