I'm not trying to be funny. I just find it interesting whom the system considers to be one's peers. One's peers = anybody registered to vote.(I'm not trying to be funny either!)

You can know someone, but not really know them. This doctor may have had psychological issues that never surfaced for anyone to see. There are troubled people who have serious issues and can mask them very well, just as the sex offender tricks their victims by appearing normal to violate trust. Who knows, maybe this individual finally snapped due to problems. People with mental disorders come in all genders, professions and age.

Anyone heard any evidence in these posts? I haven't. Be careful the bandwagon you jump on isn't on fire.

Please wait...
If they are convicted of this heinous crime and sent to any state prison, their lives will be a living hell and in danger 24/7. Most inmates have been or were abused as children and probably the most fitting word here is they will see retribution.

Good job Ned explaining this...some people still don't get it. It's called an investigation...there are still people in the world who don't understand these. If police jump too quick when making arrest, you miss details and "getting off on a technicality" could occur. My understanding in this case is that the police were very maticulous in thier investigation. As as you rightly said, we shouldnt jump to conclusions. IF it's abuse, let the investigation take it's course. ned wrote: <quoted text> Anytime a child is brought to the hospital for injuries (or dies from them) they check to see if it was abuse. Sometimes it is sometimes it isn't. Children are clumsy and often hurt themselves. So that is the reason an arrest is not made when the child was brought in. If the girl had survived she would not have been sent home with the parents until the investigation was done. But it does take some time to complete it. They have to do tests and question family, friend, co-workers, etc. In this case they would have done an autopsy which can take a few days. And during the time the parent's (or suspects) are not allowed to leave the state. So while they are not officially under arrest they do try to make sure they can not flee. It is the first step in the whole innocent until proven guilty thing. You can't arrest someone without probable cause. At the time the child was brought to the hospital they did not know for sure if it was abuse and if it was who did it. And it usually does take about a week or two for any investigation to be completed to make an arrest UNLESS someone confesses right away.
