To think that this precious angel died at the hands of these monsters who were supposed to love her and protect her and give her a forever home disgusts me. My heart breaks for the hell she endured while in their home. Rest in peace, sweet baby.

they both should never see the light of day again they are very sick people and heartless god does not like ugly things done to his children

This happened July 1, why didn't they arrest them the day the little girl was rushed to the hosipal? I don't think I've ever seen any other child abusers arrest be delayed. 12 days???? Special treatment????? Sick!

I can not believe this has happened so close to home...my daughter went to Cenn Peds for years!!!! What type of background checks do they do before they hire a DOCTOR??? You never EVER really know somebody so do not trust ANYONE!!!

I am still in shock as my daughter has been going to her for the past year...she's 2...she went last week but was told Dr. Marks had a family emergency...she was always super nice and I never would have expected this...heart wrenching...makes me sick...who can you trust now?

What happened to the original thread that had 7 pages of comments? Did it get taken down because people were talking bad about Centennial Pediatrics?

That poor little girl. I've heard a lot of sad child abuse stories but I can't remember there ever being a pediatrician accused of the crime. These parents need to pay. My heart also breaks for their 8-year-old child whose whole world just got torn apart. This is sad on so many levels.

Anytime a child is brought to the hospital for injuries (or dies from them) they check to see if it was abuse. Sometimes it is sometimes it isn't. Children are clumsy and often hurt themselves. So that is the reason an arrest is not made when the child was brought in. If the girl had survived she would not have been sent home with the parents until the investigation was done. But it does take some time to complete it. They have to do tests and question family, friend, co-workers, etc. In this case they would have done an autopsy which can take a few days. And during the time the parent's (or suspects) are not allowed to leave the state. So while they are not officially under arrest they do try to make sure they can not flee. It is the first step in the whole innocent until proven guilty thing. You can't arrest someone without probable cause. At the time the child was brought to the hospital they did not know for sure if it was abuse and if it was who did it. And it usually does take about a week or two for any investigation to be completed to make an arrest UNLESS someone confesses right away.

This is crazy!! She has been seeing my three since they were born. I never thought that she would be capable of something like this she seemed to be so good with the kids. Why would someone be around kids if they didnt care for them ? I will be Praying for the family and hope that they seek forgiveness for what they have done .

My Children have been cared for by Dr. Mark at Centennial for 4 years. She has been wonderful to them and has always gone above and beyond with their care. As a matter of fact the wait there was terrible because she took her time with each and every patient. It was not unusual to get a follow-up call from her checking to see how the children were and if they were feeling better. I am shocked to see her name in the headlines. I am heartbroken to hear of the horrific death her child has endured. There is NEVER any excuse for abuse!! If it is proven to be by her hands- it will be a sad day for our family. If she is innocent we will be relieved we did not participate in gossip and false condemnation of someone we only knew as good. Weather or not they are guilty or innocent-I think that family needs prayer and not judgment. Judge with the same measure you wish to be judged with.

Well here we go, these people will ultimately end up in jail. We as tax payers are going to pay for thier living expenses for the rest of thier lives. I, as a parent and as a tax payer think a public execution is an appropriate end to these monster's lives. I'm sure that there are people who would say that this is an abomination and that they deserve to live no matter what. Personally, I wouldn't waste a bullet on either. If we don't have the guts to stop these types of pure hate, we never will. I know this will never bring this poor child back, but maybe, just maybe the next sick s.o.b. would stop and think. GOD be with her forever.

When these two go to prison, they will get the due coming to them. Every day someone should beat the crap out of them and let them know just how it is and for two adults to do this to a defenseless child. These two are cowards and they should not get any bond. They both should be held without bond. It is two bad the public can't take care of these two. To do this to a child, both of you are cowards. We will see how brave you are when you are at the cross bar motel and hopfully the rest of your miserable life.

I agree completely! What happened with innocent until proven guilty. Shame on all of you! We should be praying for the poor child and that truth a justice prevail.

If the parents are innocent, who exactly do you propose murdered this precious angel? The family pet? The eight other child in the home? Come on, the fact that this woman was apparently a good doctor is moot. These monsters adopted this baby, brought her to a foreign country and then proceeded to beat her regularly until she finally died. They KILLED her. And they couldn't even show their cowardly faces when the news cameras covered the story yesterday. As I've said before, the only prayers they'll get from me is that they get what's coming to them.
