This place it total rip off like previous ones say. I went there about a year ago with same idea if you have &149 etc.it's all gimmick, they hassle you and try to get you by a car with their terms. Stay away from this place at any cost!! Go down the road to Freeland Chevy, I bought mine from them after bad Kia experience.

Wrong.

They prey and advertise to people with bad credit, no money, and prone to make bad decisions.

Why did you go there again?

man! I have always wanted a kia rio and finally got me a job..not a high paying one but still...was hoping to finally get me one but now doesnt look like it is going to happen :(
If you want a Kia, just buy a used one. A one yr. old Kia is only worth about 45% of what a new costs, so you are much better off to buy a used car. Also, if you can avoid doing business with TV hucksters (simply as a protest mechanism) then do so, but if you have to do business with them, understand that no matter what they tell you on TV, the following things are true: 1) all dealers pay the manufacturers the same amount for their cars, so no one can sell you one for significantly cheaper than anyone else. The only real negotiable item is the value of your trade, which might be worth more to one dealership than another. 2) don't lose focus by locking in on payments. Hell yes they can get your payments lower, they just add a year (or two). 3) Don't buy any aftermarket items from the dealership, including warranty. You can get it cheaper elsewhere. 4) You have 3 business days to bring the car back, that's contract law. 5) Don't ever buy a car without thinking about it overnight and going over the numbers. If they sell the car, big whoop. There are 50 million other cars out there. 6) CPO (certified pre-owned) cars are typically a pretty good deal, but you will pay a little more for them (and get more). Sometimes the warranty on these cars is better than the original.
Above all, pay attention. If you are uncomfortable, leave. That is your best protection against getting screwed.

I was just in a local Nipper's Corner dive bar and who should be in there? In the company of a young lady who was not "Dessie"? Yep, Mr. "Don't you leave until you see me" himself. So, as I was leaving, I thought, I'm going to cruise through the parking lot and see what kind of Kia that buttclown drives. Just about that time I see a brand new red Ferrari convertible pull out and I thought, surely not a Ferrari for a Kia dealer, but I pulled up behind it and it had "KIA-1" on the license plate. See what a job and $149 will get you? Oh, BTW, that dude looks anciently old without any makeup on.

Good stuff! What I can't figure out is why so many people DIDN'T just walk out? I mean, all you have to say is "I want the deal advertised on TV" and if they say they cannot, then just walk out. Kind of a no-brainer.

I went to Freeland Chevy and they gave me the wrong around and at the end they lied and had no car and bunch of excuses even though supposely I was approved for a car. Until this date I have still NOT received a phone call for them or nothing. I filed many complaints and they did not care. Freeland Chevy is another dealership full of bs and lies. To me the owner has it for some kind of front for something else. The owner Ben Freeland never got back to me and shows that did not care.

If interested in knowing what happened in details with me regarding Freeland Chevrolet read the following direct link and read:

You know how Mr. Bostick ALWAYS wears those blue shirts in those commercials? Well, I went by there for an errand some months back and noticed EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE has on those blue shirts! Is that a dealership or a cult(and if it's the latter, is it connected to the Snuggy Cult)?

Lol. It's good to see Jesus is logging in and checking into the chatrooms to see what's going on. Shame on you!

I live 2 hours away from Hickory Hollow Kia. My husband called ahead to check on the sticker pricing for a particular vehicle. A salesman kept putting him on hold to check with the sales manager on whether or not they had one in that price range. He was told that they did. We wasted 2 hours of our time going up there only to find out that they didnt have one for the price that we were told. We wasted 4 hours of our time and about 200 miles worth of gas. Call this what you want, but I call it unprofessional. Mr Bostic, I see that you look at this site so if you would like for me to contact you, then reply to this and leave your contact information and me or my husband would be glad to discuss this matter with you. Do you mean it when you say "dont you leave until you see me". We will find out.

Why are you people so stupid to think you can actually get 40% off on a car?..When you ride by ANY big dealership..look at the lights, employees,TV commericials,dang..all that overhead..where do you think they get the money to pay for it at..you cant pay the bills taking 40% off I promise,149 down? Yeah right..go on in & see what they slide you into..go to any smaller used car lot & you will get your best deal..most of time even betetr than buying from individual as the individual has purchased there car they are selling you from one of the big overpriced stores..CarMax & there no haggle pricing? Wow.if only you knew there markup but people are stupid & think they are a volume seller..there is no such thing as a volume seller people.the bigger the lot the more overhead the higher the price..This isnt walmart were talking about here..all dealers buy at the same places..auto auctions or trade ins from auto auctions..get a lil "common sense" & just think when you see those bright shiny lights on that huge lot next time..

You can actually contact Mr. Bostick directly at his personal e-mail address.

It is cbostick@aol.com

I did contacted him and he replied and he seemed not to care and did nothing to fix the problem.

Shows again his commercials are full of false advertising.

WEll Id id buy a Kia from them. I don't know him personally but this is my second Kia. They are actually great cars. Have had no problems out of either. I highly recommend. I never would have thought they were great cars but I got one as a rental while my more expensive SUV was in the shop for the 5000th time. So I got it out and traded it for a Kia. Drove it for 185,000 miles with not one problem. That 100K mile bumper to bumper warranty didn't get used 1 time! Not once. Now I am religious about doing maintenance the way the manufacturer recommends so that may help but it didn't with my other car. So after 185,000 I traded it in for Kia #2 a few months ago. I love it! Now the advertising thing, well they all do that. They make all these deals sound so great and you get there and they aren't. That's just the business. I don't even listen to them anymore. Just buy what you want for the price you can pay.

Since Hyundai bought Kia, the quality issues have gone way down. There is nothing at all wrong with the cars, but, even if, as you say, they all do it, that doesn't make their sales scams right. You sound like an educated consumer and probably have neven been ripped off by one of these sharks, but they do prey on less sophisticated buyers and people who are good-hearted enough to trust them.

Oh I agree, but unfortunately it is the business. I am just saying I don't think Carnival is doing anything any more wrong than any of the rest. by my accounts bill Heard was the worst. Are they even still in business? Much like home buying, there are a million people out there tryin to rip you off.. just gotta know what you are doing and if you don't then take someone who does.

Bought a car last spring at rivergate kia with no money down and no trade in with a credit score around 610 the only problem i had was that i bought the car from a different sales rep than the one i had been in contact with and was told my interest rate was lower than it was though it was about 9 percent but was actually 13 1/2 called original rep and he said he would get it for me for the 9 or less but we had decided to return it anyway as we decided to not take on a pmt at that time they accepted car back with no problem and said if i decide to come back just give them a call i had no problems getting financed tho

I bought a used car from Carnival Kia several years ago. My salesman was very professional, as was everyone else I met there. The car they sold me was everything they said it would be and the $$$ was less than any other dealership for the same model. One thing I particular liked was that my salesman looked at the fact I am single and drive a long distance at late hours daily and helped me pick out a car that he felt would give me the best and safest service. No, it was not the more expensive one. That is the one I thought I wanted but he went over the facts with me. I'd go back to them in a heartbeat if I were looking for another car.
