The "invisible 88 million. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/may/... how do the republicans handle the dept of labor's statistics any differently?? the republicans started two wars last time we elected them to high office..... BAD REPUBLICAN,...... NO WHITEHOUSE!! is obama a "lefist"??? he is NOT a LEFTIST. jesse jackson or al sharpton could be considered leftists. you need to expand your knowledge of the full width of the political spectrum. but you are right about the numbers........they only count those who they still can......and that only lasts as long as the checks do!! but they counted no differently when bush was president.

Obama is just a gulity as bush for supporting that peice of corporate trash!!! IF you are PRO-civil rights you muct be anti-patriot act. and if you are pro-civil rights then it would be a joke if you were against gays getting married. I would say then that you were ANTI-civil rights.

Very Interesting article: The number 1 and number 2 super nations compared. China vs. USA: Who will win the 21st Century? China is best suited for the 20th Century. They have cheap labor and huge amounts of capital coming in. Like the U.S., China also struggles with the issue of energy. China is a consumer, not a producer of energy. China is becoming the global leaders of clean tech - whether it is solar or wind. http://tinyurl.com/6975x86 hmmmm? Chinese is very hard language to learn and write. Americans would need better education curriculum put in place.... just saying!

Are Mexicans giving up on U.S? http://tinyurl.com/cte3x66 This be another good article. Americans with their fight on immigration. Many southern farms and includes construction and manufacturing will see the affects from this. For most immigrates only obtain jobs others will not do. American politicians should wake up before they are forced to play "catch up" politics insted of "fun politics". USA needs budget.

I apologize for internet delay. France not as modernized as USA with internet in all locations. You be correct on producers paying better wages. The product must move at all cost. But that in return cost consumers more at point of purchase. I be here collecting half year of fruits for canning to bring back to USA. Mari has garden for vegetables over there. For if we don't do as such. USA prices produce unnecessary strain to budget. We stick to French Cuisines. Prices in USA are over-rated for altered product received! Processing for you in states means no more real fruit taste.

I dont buy processed fruit too much. there is lots of roadside produce stands in the valley..... latitude and weather gives california unfair advantages agriculturally compared to france(or most places, really). unfortunatley this has strained our water supply....because unlike france or the east coast, we get no rain from about now until oct 1st. so resevoir supplies are crucial....this year they look good. I live next to the second biggest storage lake in the state.....and it is full now, with still much more snow to melt!! three decent winters have gotten us more or less back to normal, although the southern half of the state is more or less always in a state of drought. they rely on us, and the colorado river for all their water..... 20 million people!!!

I am NOT your internet hand maiden....google it yourself. especially on a subject that has been so widely taked about. obama has added 5 trillion so far!! yes!! he is on a pace to easily outspend bush , if re-elected. even if Obama lost this fall, he would almost tie bush. Bush added 6 trillion. tax cuts for the wealthy, two wars and medicare pt D were the main culprits. historically in 2000, the democrats left the republicans 4 trillion in debt....but the outlook was decent at that point(compared to now esp)as far a productivity. they(clinton and the republican's in congress) had managed to balance a couple budgets... I guess they were cockY! the apes left 3 million dollars in damage to the whitehouse!! I was appauled!! ps: they removed all the "w's" from all keybords..... I thought that part was kinda funny! soooo......look it up lazy man!!!

The election double talk has begun. Obama promised that by election day the unemployment rate would be below 8%- as if that was a good thing. So here it is Mid-May, and the latest reported rate is down to 8.1%. That means that people are finding jobs, right? Well. Not quite. It turns out that people who are no longer collecting unemployment benefits, aren’t counted anymore. They’re still as unemployed as they were before, and they’re actually much worse off, since they have no income at all, but we just don’t count’em so the rate will go down. You see, the unemployment rate is not the rate of the total of unemployed people, it’s the rate of people collecting unemployment insurance benefits. Which is not forever. Normally, when you become unemployed, you can receive benefits for 26 weeks, that’s six months for you publicly educated folks (PEF’S), but because of the terrible recession that came to an end two years ago, this has been extended out to 99 months (2 years for you PEF’s). At the end of the 2 years of collecting, you are cut off. And not only are you cut off from getting any money, you are also cut off the list of unemployed, even though you’re still unemployed. Got that? But wait, there’s more good news for you unemployed folk (UF). The federal extension of benefits from 79 weeks to 99 weeks is expiring. It already has in CA & IL and several other states. Have you been able to hear much about this over the din of much more important things like gay marriage? Oh, yeah the gays have money to donate, and unemployed people don’t. So Obama gets to pound his chest on how he’s reducing “unemployment”, and you’re more miserable than you were before, because the number of jobs being created is less than the number of people falling off the dole. It all makes sense to someone. Vote Obama. He's for poor people. Can I get a halleluiah? Can I get an AMEN?

Our national debt is also 15 Trillion...and rising by the second. Don't ask me for my references, I posted them here the other day. I wish the liberals were as worried about balancing the budget as they were about what the Tea Party is doing..they can't/won't/refuse to pass a budget...spend! spend! spend should have been obama's new creedo. I have no idea how old you are or where you live in Tn. E1, but take it from me...here in the mountains of East Tennessee, the "war on poverty" has been pretty successful in raising folks out of abject poverty. Are there still poor folks around here ? SURE there are ! Are there people who take advantage of the programs designed to help ? SURE there are. Are there kids going to sleep at night hungry ? Living in tar paper shacks ? Wearing rags, going barefooted ? Doing without medical care ? None that I know of and we all have a vested interest in seeing that it stays that way. No E1 the war on poverty has been a God send for Appalachia and anyone who remembers the "good old days" accurately, will tell you so.

It's been talked about all over the News Media ever since the "Recession" started, just maybe not on Fox Fake News, I guess. And , that's the way that the Unemployment Rate has ALWAYS been determined...that's nothing new, either, & that has been common knowledge for everybody that watches REAL NEWS from REAL NEWS Sources. The Gov't. has no way of counting how many Unemployed there are, once they stop reporting to the Gov't. in order to draw their Unemployment Checks or if they never sign-up & alot of People don't sign-up because they know they're ineligible to draw Benefits. So, by your newly-learned criteria, the Gov't.'s Unemployment Rate has NEVER been accurate. If you had ever drawn unemployment or if you would watch MSNBC, you would have known these things a long time ago.:+)
