It is people like you idiots who always question police officers and their actions. They put their lives on the lines everyday to protect people like me and you. They are trained to face situations and deal with people that we as general citizens are NOT willing to do. To sit back and be a "Monday Morning Quarterback" and question every thing officers do is ridiculous!
Have a little bit of faith in the men and women the police department hire to do a job that we are not willing to do. If an officer does the wrong thing or breaks the law, there are department policies and laws in place to deal with those situations.
The TBI was called in to investigate the shooting like always in these situations, and the officer was cleared. How do you know if the suspect wasn't grabbing for a screwdriver, a tire iron, a baseball bat, a box cutter, or many other things that could be used as a weapon. The fact of the matter is that YOU were not there, YOU were not apart of the situation, and YOU have no clue as to what you are talking about!
Officers do not just go around shooting people for no apparent reason. Something happened during that incident that put the officer in fear of his life for him to use deadly force. People always are too quick to form negative opinions of police officers, but when they become a victim of a crime, the police are their best friend!
I think the Mt. Juliet Police Department does a great job of keeping our city safe. If you think that it is any better in Nashville or Lebanon, then move to one of those cities and you will see how good you have it here. I've lived in both cities and our police department does a great job of keeping those criminals out of Mt. Juliet!
Hats off to our police force for the job you do!!!!!!! Thank You!!!!!!
