Judge Muriel Robinson Decides To Retire From Family Court

It has always blew my mind how someone that has been through so many marriages and divorces can be over Family court.... seems to be an oxymoron. She has been label the "MAN HATER" by some social groups... I have to say though, she has never indirectly affect my life, Thank God, But have affected some of those I know... I only know one Gentleman that got treated fairly, but the rest of the men I know got thrown to the wolves... It wouldn't surprise me if someone was to look into her retirement a little close.. She is probably being pressured to retire... Well I can say that I am glad to see her go... I can not say she will be missed... Just my two cents

Before I get flamed on... I know there are both Men and Women that needed to be thrown to the wolves... But look at her track record... You will find that most of her decision always went for the woman... with custodies and so forth..

this woman has been so unjust, ruthless and vindictive towards MEN that I cannot believe she was not terminated many years ago by the citizens of davidson county. the damage she has done to women, families, children and society are the worst any judge has inflicted on society in the history of america family court. being divorced many times herself, she had no business deciding the fate of anyone's situation, much less divorce court (family) cases. her name will always be regarded as a MAN HATER, and UNJUST, and really just a CRAZY CHIC who somehow weaseled her way into a Judges Seat!!! Thank You God for removing this demonic witch from public office.

Man hater wasn't even the word.I was one of her first few cases after one of her divorces. Without even letting my Lawyer finish, I was told to pay $433.00 per month in 1983. Then my x moved to N.J.
I made 3 trips up there to see the kids before getting beat up by her boyfriend and friends. Long story short. I couldn't get help from the courts. The kids are 24 and 21 years old. I have a good relationship with them. thier mother is a drug addict and no where to be found. Her sister recieves the money. I have paid her $32000.00 and have another $32000,00 to pay. I still cant get help. Thanx Judge Robinson

I was of course referring to b*tch Robinson.

As a woman, I can say that she did NOTHING to favor me over my ex. She would not do anything to protect my children from an abusive situation unless I hired a lawyer and took him to court for contempt, which would cost him his job and my child support. Our justice system sucks.

She was a good Judge with poor bedside manner. I'd rather have someone get it right (with a frown) than a screwball causing cases to be appealed.

And, she put women in jail just as quickly as men. Public perception is wrong, and tainted disgruntled litigants. Too bad--she's paid to decide who wins and who loses.

I hope her replacement applies the law in the same manner.

She's not a damn social worker, you idiot. She's a judge, and if you wanted her help you had to adhere to procedure to get relief.

This woman handled a custody case involving myself,and my Mother over my daughter.. I got divorced and my mother said she would take care of my then 9 month old daughter till I got back on my feet... Well I ended up in court for 3 years trying to regain my daughter.. In the end she gave my mother my daughter against the recommendations of the DHS who were on my new husbands and my side, and against the State law of Tennessee in her decision.
After the final decision , we found out that my mother's lawyer was Judge Robinsons best friend. There is (or was) even a piture of them together in the judges office. We were in her chambers and I noticed the picture right away. That to me was a conflict of interest to say the least..
Then after my mother passed away we were going through her personal papers and found a canceled check for $1000 paid to the Guardian Enlitnum (the court appointed attorney that represented my daughters interest) No one should have paid him anything.. But I still have that canceled check to this day. Judge Robinson, didn't even listen to his report in court !
I watched her secretary give Judge Robinson her judgment in this case at the bench. While I was on the witness stand testifying ! I could see it from where I was sitting in the witness box.There in black and white was our case, our names, and I watched her sign it !
She is and was a corrupt Judge and I am happy to see her butt out of the court system.

Talk about a heavy handed Judge!! I am so glad that she is leaving. I just wish she would have been voted out. I know of several people who were screwed over by her. I myself had my case judicial transfered to another county where Judge ARobinsons intital judgement was overturned and I got custody of my son like I should have from the start. This women is and wil always be a man hater!!!

It wouldn't surprise me at all if the court system gets flooded with old court cases trying to get some kind of real JUSTICE. I wonder if she will continue her radio or tv "call in" in show. I've even tryied calling her there with the answer that she couldn't talk about her cases.

Oh , it happened 30 years ago. But I wanted to vent after all these years. I am not trying to accuse her of anything, just ranting from my own personal feelings. I am sure she was a great judge to some and a not so good one to others.
It comes with the territory I guess.

My parents had to go through her for their divorce and my custody. I don't know much about her other than she made the right decision for my parents.

Blah,blah,blah..sore loser. BTW, the Guardian Ad Litem is entitled to be paid. One would not have been needed if you had taken care of your child properly.

Glad to hear this comment. I'm telling you people--you may not have liked her demeanor, but she applied the law as well as any judge in the county.
