My son owns a pitbull. She is an American German pit. Her name is Sweet, and she holds up to it. She is the youngest of 3 dogs. The other two are black poms. Less than half her size. They are all just over a year old. Not once has Sweet hurt the other two. They play together, eat together, and we feed her the treats right out of our mouths to her. We do not do that with the poms.
We have had company over before and everyone falls for her. She is gentle with the younger children, plays very well with them. Better than most dogs I have witnessed. I never liked pits before because of all the bad publicity around them. Sweet has changed my outlook on the breed. If you come to our house, you would more than likely get attacked from Smoke, the male pom. So be careful. Very very careful of the dogs you trust. Any breed of dog can get ya. |
