Waldo and I almost ended up in the ditch going to my sister in laws for Mother's Day. I was having visions of a helicopter rescue at one point!

Good morning Moon! The water was over the road and I was already in it before I realized how bad it was. My car is so low to the ground and the water was really rushing. I feel like the hand of God pushed us through, the car was leaving a wake in the water!

Good Morning Whiteheart! I have lived in Hughes Springs for 15 years! Its a nice little town, but we dont have some of the things like Paris has: Burger King, Taco Bell etc.

I hope to meet you soon also. It is always nice to put a face to a conversation.

Hey Moon! We were going over to Kat's brothers house, and a creek overflowed its bounds, and flooded the road. It had to be atleast 6" deep, and was flowing pretty good. We travelled through it for about 100 feet. Water was splashing way over her car. Good Morning!

Good morning Waldo.. I just love Hughes Springs and have eaten many times at the Wildflower cafe and they used to have a really good pizza place downtown. My little boy (now 20) spent many hrs playing at the DQ. Avinger has a wonderful steak house, but you're right, HS is limited. Jefferson is my favorite town in Texas. You and Kat need to spend a nice weekend in one of the B&B's one day. I'll even tell you my ghost story and you can decide if you want to stay in that one. lol

Did you get to see your kids on Mothers' Day?
When I got home yesterday, I was surprised to find a stray cat with new kittens in my outdoor laundry room!!! The mama cat will not let me touch her but I got close enough to count four kittens.(smiling) Borned on Mothers Day!

Well, I lost power this morning! AHHHHH! No tv, no computer, no house phone, it almost put me in shock!(laughing) If I get out today, I am taking my camera to take pictures of all the flooding!
