Hooters stirring up controversy in Naples

Now Naples has something to else to complain about,maybe they will leave the snow birds alone.

I haven't been to the Hooters yet. They picked a good spot - it's by the Harley Davidson shop, right?
Hooter's ain't nothing but another chain restaurant, along with TGI Friday's, Applebee's, etc.
Nothing wrong with that, mind you - I mean, I like the chain restaurant foods.
But I just don't want to see the "big box" restaurants taking over the local guys.
otherwise, where's the distinctiveness?
[of course, if the big box restaurants are giving people what they want, and the local one's aren't, well - that's also the nature of competition...)
Still, i wish we had more diners in Naples.
We have a couple - and as two shut down, one omre opens up - so it's not equal but at least there's always somebody out there willing to give running a diner a shot.
Just improve the coffee --- please! Only three good places to get coffee...

Some Hooters are really great places with lots of cute girls working there and great atmosphere.

Others are not as good.

Some of the best Hooters locations are near large universities with cute coeds needing to earn money so they can have nice cars.
