Ice is amazing with or without Brad? Part owner of a cheerleading gym is abusing little girls? What so amazing about that? I wouldn't send my girls near that gym!

nobody should send their children near that gym. even if he is "out of sight" now, this has happened before. He was arrested in 2004 for inappropriate behavior. He got away with it because one of the girls was not believable. It has been said that he got a 16 yr old pregnant. At this point he is only accused, it should be an interesting trial, i certainly hope that more girls will stop being afraid and come forward. I feel horrible for this girl and her family that this "allegedly" happened to her. Maybe if all of the other parents and the other half owner had taken responsibility 4 years ago, this wouldn't have happened to her. Its interesting that he was able to post $100,000 in cash to get out of jail. He can probably thank all of those loyal parents who stood by all those years and refused to believe he could do such a thing. How many more male coaches does this gym employ that haven't had a background check performed??? Seems they took down all of their staff information! Wake up people and think about the innocent girls who now have to live with this for the rest of their lives.

You don't consider sexual assualt abusive? That's just twisted! Wait until more of the girls come forward...there is a pattern here I'm sure...then you won't be singing any praises.

Consider where the poster is from! They have a cult going on there. The only thing important is winning and if a few girls get touched in the meantime...well they won didn't they, so it must be all good. If those people actually cared about their children they would be running fast away from the "other" owner who let it go on under his nose, not calling him a hero!!

Wow...I hope they get him this time. How big is the gym and why haven't they been investating the gym and staff? Shouldn't this send red flags to the authorities that thing kind of operation is going on? I mean, if the owner if taking advantage of the young girls...wouldn't the coaches as well? What kind of standard is the owner setting.

Oh you must know him personally. People with good hearts don't prey upon young girls. Seems to be a pattern and why wouldn't you believe the girls that have came forward?

You must be a CHEER MOM with blinders on.

I am new to the ICE program and I have loved everything I have seen so far, and my 12 year old daughter is trying out there this week.
I cannot comment about Brad because I never met him,but I did hear that once Jason was notified of Brads behavior, Jason removed him from the gym, and as a parent that STAYS at the gym while my daughter is there, I see nothing "inappropraite" going on.(I have always stayed wherever my children practice and they are 16 & 12) Jason "The Owner" runs a great program, you need dedication, drive and commitment.
I have no problem enrolling my daughter at ICE, the "Problem" has been removed and the gym is moving forward.
I feel for the girls and families that this involved, and I hope they get closure and if all is true~
But you CANNOT fault Jason or the Gym, HE (BRAD) used his status as a coach to let this happen (if it happened) Children look up to coaches for guidence and encouragement, not to be abused..for this if he is found guilt, I hope he is sent away for a very long time!

I wish Jason and the team of coaches at ICE a very sucessful cheer year, and I am glad I am apart of it!

WOW talk about naive! Your hero Jason turned his head while his PARTNER continued his pattern of inappropriate behavior with underage girls. What makes you think he isn't turning his head with other coaches as well??

In their tryout packet on page 11 under rules and regulations it says this:

• The coaches reserve the right to close practice at any time.

Why would any gym at any time feel the need to close a practice to spectators (parents)???

Aren't there other cheerleading gyms your daughter can go to? Why would you even remotely consider putting your daughter (possibly) in harms way?

I agree...why even send your daughters that way? The owner was abusing children. What kind of standards are you setting with your girls? It's NOT OK to subject your kids to predators.

You're supporting a gym that is supporting the owner. You members are paying for his legal fees. I hope the gym wins a lot because it has to be hard for parents to go to sleep at night who support ICE.

Because I don't feel that she is in Harms way..
Have you met Jason, Cheer MOM?

Let's see why a gym might close practices: because whinning parents that want to control the coaches and thier daughter positions on the team, because parents can be a distraction to their sons/daughters. This is not the ONLY gym in the area that limit the time or viewing area...
The one you are at CC has limited viewing area as well, does it not? This isn't so the Coaches can abuse the children, it is so the children can be focused on the job at hand.
I am far from being Naive...believe me! As I stated earlier, I DON'T leave the gym when my daughter is there, and I have a VERY good relationship with my daughter...she actaully TALKS to me. There had to be "Something" going on at that families home that it took them so long to report it. I am not blind...I watch what is going on around me and I get involved, I am not a mother that sits on the side lines.
Is Jason my Hero as you say...I don't know yet, as I am new to this program, but I will say I like everything I have seen so far as well as my interaction with the coaches (both male and female) and Jason. He is having to deal with alot of negativity because of his old partner, and he is doing a great job!!
Don't bash the program because of one bad seed, which was removed from the gym.

OK...was this going on when Jason was part owner? Can you honestly say he didn't know anything if he was there during that period of time? Did Jason chose to look the other way? Not that Jason did anything wrong with the girls but did he know about his partners behaviors?

Ummm Yes, I have. Being a nice guy doesn't dismiss the fact that you have NO CLUE what your partner has been doing for the last 4 years. Come on lets get real. As an owner you should know EVERYTHING going on, that is your job, I don't care how busy or big one place is.

Now your going to blame a (then) 13 year old. It didn't take that family long at ALL to report it, once they found out. They reported it as soon as they found out. The problem is that most of the kids on that team knew that she was "HIS FAVORITE", but nobody had the guts to say anything for fear of being removed from the team. His behavior was not new, it had been going on for a very long time. It took the police almost a year to go forward to DuPage county with the evidence and charges. They did that for a reason, they were going to make sure that their evidence is rock solid so he doesn't get acquitted again! Maybe you will change your mind when you see what will come out. In our legal system, innocent until proven guilty, so lets let the evidence come out and see what happens.

While you may not leave the gym, how would you know what is going on behind a closed practice since you can't see anything? If there are parents disrupting the practice, then those parents should be removed, it should not interfere with the practice. Sorry, whiny parents are not a reason to close the practice. And just because I live in Mokena doesn't mean my daughters cheer there, but obviously you would know better than I where my kids train!

I'm sure there are members that have been there since 2004 saying "Bradley is innocent..those girls are lying."
Now what parents?
Do you enjoy supporting this type of program? Give your daughters to the predators and make them superstars.
Oh my goodness it's like a cult. You need help and just by the looks of him (beacon-news) I wouldn't trust him around my boys or girls.

I can't believe you think Jason had no knowledge of Brad's behavior. Brad was brought up on charges back in 2003. He admitted to smoking with a teenage girl and also kissing her (what the hell was he doing even having a teenager in his apartment)? He denied any other charges. This was in 2003! Why would Jason have ever left Brad alone in the gym with any girls? If you think these are the only 2 incidents you are naive. I even know about more, girls just are not coming forward because they are scared or think it their own fault.

If you really think Jason owns the gym you should have him show every parent the paperwork. In my opinion this should have happened back in 2003! All you parents have been supporting him since 2003-2008....paying all Brad's bills with the profit he was getting from ICE. Jason knew, don't kid yourselves. He didn't nothing to the girls, but did everything wrong by turning his head the other way. Every other gym knew about Brad. Come on, your saying Jason didn't know what was going on with his own Partner, be serious.

AND SHAME ON YOU for blaming the GIRLS family for what happened to her, your just as sick as him! WOW you people are just blind or sick or feel their is nothing wrong with an ADULT SICK MAN messing with your little girls. This is a messed up society.

Cheer Mom..
I was not being ugly when I suggested that your children were at CC, I was just saying that other gyms have limited viewing areas and time (such as getting ready for a National cahampionships)CF, Chicago Fire, Extreme all have limited viewing areas.
I hear CC is a great program. I just chose not to go there.
You are correct, I cannot see through walls when it is a closed practice, I am just stating that I have a close enough relationship with my daughter that she would tell me if something like that happened to her.
I don't know the full story about Brad, just heard things through the "Cheer Rumor Mill" so do I know any of it to be fact,No I ddon't, it is true, innocent until proven guilty..
I agree..
Jason reacted when he heard, did he know prior to that..I don't know and either does anyone else (unless you are in Jasons head)
I am not trying to pick a fight with you, I am just saying you can't hold a whole program at bay because of one bad seed, you get rid of that seed.
And Jason has done that.
I heard that he bought Brad out, so as someone stated above, we won't be paying Brads legal fees...

Cheer Mom.. I don't disagree with you at all, innocent until proven guilty...
