Show me the money! If they think getting a little money or a lot of money is going to resolve this issue they are in for a long rough road. They are going to be drug through the mud over the statements she made and he is going to be grilled over his confession. I would rather have someone put a knife in my heart than admit that I killed my daughter. If he didn't do it he should have never confessed. He even told the "if I did it here's what I did" story to the police.

Police interogation may be rough, but I'd never confess to hurting my child if I hadn't. I hope and pray the family can find some peace, but money in their pockets will not solve the problem.

Now if they promised to donate the court award to the reward that would be a different story; but remember they spent part of the money given for a reward several years ago on mom - could it have been to buy her silance?

you are a fool to think the reward money was used to buy silence and loyalty. didn't they have about 20 grand?! that's not much money... especially to do what you are suggesting. Who knows... maybe they will us a portion of the award they receive to raise the reward and hire a competant group of investigators to find their daughter's murderer... god knows will county is just interested in minimizing damages and saving their careers and personal financial assets.

Learn to read bucktown. I never said money is to by silence. I said money is not going to ease grief and loss. Give the money, is they win the law suit, to help abused kids. Don't use it to better their life, the loss of a child is the toughest thing I can imagine, but why does everyone seem to set a price on the life of their child. Give the money to a good cause and possible punish those who misused their political power (if they did). That would be a good thing.

My biggest fear is that this crime will never be solved and the threat still lies somewhere out there for this to happen again. This family has been through enough. Clear their names and be done with it, but money is not the answer.

I happen to be very close with the Fox family, I babysat Melissa and her brothers. If you have never been interogated for hours after hours, then you can not pass judgment. this is unsolved, YES, but the real person that did this is still out there, and im sure will be found. This is hard enough on all of them. I was there the day she went missing and was there when the bad news came in.

Well, if this were my child, and I KNOW I wasn't involved in ANY way possible -- which includes the drug stories -- I SURE AS HELL wouldn't be quiet about this whole situtaion.
Look at the family who's daughter went missing - the pregnant woman - forgive me for I forget her name - but CANNOT FORGET the GIGANTIC billboard in the Joliet area (rt 30 maybe is where I saw it) with her picture and name and all kinds of information on it.
Now 20 grand SURE AS HELL could have helped with something like this... and I would go IN DEBT trying to find the killer of my 3 year old child.. well that is if I did't have anything to cover up or hide or didn't want anyone else in my family dead...
but that is just me.

Will only be found if Kevin and Melissa tell all that they know. I've read that they know who did it, but for some reason are unwilling to tell the authorities of the press.

If Keven tells what he knows he will implicate himself in illegal activity, and he doesn't want to go back to jail. Why worry about who killed Riley when he and Melissa can have replacement babies?

Such a sad sad story. When drugs and doppers are involved you can't figure things out. Drugs make you crazy. Only sick people do drugs and hang with drug people. The poor children being raised up by drug parents. The parents just want to party and not be responsible. You can stop doing drugs any time you want. Did they do drug testing?
I feel for the family. I do hope they find the sick person that did this.

Let's drop this stupidity - the killer has been found so leave the Fox family alone! I was one who wondered about the family and will forever regret the fact that I felt that way.

You may be the biggest moron yet! The murderer is already behind bars. DNA proved he did it, he also confessed and has said that HE DID NOT KNOW KEVIN NOR MELISSA. What is so hard to understand about that??? If Kevin "knew" who did it or was involved, he would have been implicated.

Will County botched this case. Everyone of those sorry ass detectives shouls have lost their jobs.
It was already proven that kevin didn't flunk anything. Will County flunked!

He also said that he pleaded for a lawyer and was refused one. He was being held in a room through out the night with pics of his dead daughter being thrown out in front of him. He felt like his only way out was to agree to their dumb ass story and prove he didn't do it later. Is that something you would have done, maybe not. BUT you also didn't lose your 3 yo daughter. YOU didn't get put into a room for 14 hrs and ask for a lawyer only to be denied one. You didn't get forced to see pictures of YOUR dead daughter. I could go on and on and on about the way Will County botched this case but don't think I need too. Din't Will county just pay $100,00 for an independant study to find out what went wrong with this investigation? I believe they did....and the results were VERY unfavorable towards Will County. They literally f*cked this case up from the get go. They had key evidence in hand from day one and didn't even look at it. A bunch of clowns in my opinion.

Regardless of what swayed people....we now know the truth so leave Kevin Fox alone.

There was an article about this case in today's Chicago Tribune. Thank God the disgusting, low life, demon of a criminal is behind bars. Prison is a fabulous place for someone as evil as him and hell awaits. He will pay eternally for what he has done. That little girl was just beautiful--she looks like a little angel in her pictures. In my opinion, there is NO amount of money in this world that can compensate that family for what they have gone through. The cops that botched the investigation have to live with what they have done and I hope they pray that God forgives them, because they're going to need it.
As far as Kevin Fox is concerned--unless you have had your child murdered and have been interrogated the way he was for that amount of time, you have NO RIGHT to judge him. Interrogation is a very careful, calculated measure that can break the mind of the strongest person. Instead of judging, how about praying people-- a little girl was brutally murdered here.
