Trout fishermen working the eastside of Broad Creek yesterday reportedly spotted and photographed a large slimey creature, resembling a man, walking in waist deep water along the marshes of a creek leading through John's Ditch.
They said the creature saw them and dove into the water and disappeared into the marsh bog. They have several photos taken from about 100 feet away. Later, they said they heard something that sounded like nutria screams from the same direction. This is scary1

There have been at least a dozen boats circling around the opening to John's Ditch today. Some boats are full of people. It's crazy!

It was just a local crackhead. About 4 days ago, he thought he saw a sheriff car, tossed his pipe, and was looking for it when the fisherman putted by.

Here's what I have been able to find out just a few minutes ago. A reliable source said that ABC News 7 from New York is sending a news team to Wanchese either tomorrow or Wednesday. They will meet the fishermen at Broad Creek Marina and tape a new slot on scene. The spokesman for ABC said to expect the story to go national after that. They will also show the photographs taken by the fishermen. Guess what. Both of them are local! Wanchese will soon be on the map!!

I talked with someone who has seen the photos. They said it shows the thing from about waist up and it definitely looks like a human with long hair on its body that is kinda greeish brown.
This is really weird. I hear a couple of magazines have been contacted and the guys are holding their photographs close. don't blame them. but this thing needs to be investigated.

This is so unbelieveable. ABC 7 is the bottom of the barrel in NY. Why would they be interested in some "wancheese bigfoot?" Why wasnt any local media contacted if there was a pic? People, it was some cracked out crabber with his wanchese slippers on. Hey maybe it was Calhoon. The tourism board is dying for some "free" publicity.

Don't expect to see those photos anytime soon according to another reliable source. ABC in New York backed out and wouldn't come down or pay after they leaned that two magazines had got into the act. Both are offering big sums of money if they photos are authentic. I also heard that two kayakers also saw something similar to the WMM a day or two before the fishing party got the photos. Same place except on the north end of Johns Ditch. Again there were boats running all up and down the ditch yesterday, looking.

Latest gossip is a deal has been reached for rights to the Marsh Monster photos. Big money..maybe as much as $75,000 for one time use.
Look for this to hit the newstand in next few weeks...maybe sooner. Just rumor, but good source.
