From what I understand, it is not "killed" as yet, so not yet off the agenda. Other options being considered.

I hear the government needs the mail to be secure and thus, the losses in dollars is not a top priority.
I wonder how much of our tax dollars would be spent sending government mail yearly if mail was all privatized?
You are correct.

This would just provide another avenue for excessive uncontrollable spending for government.

It would be best to keep it like it is!!

Man...there is so much disinformation about the pipeline...some here in Texas say the thing was only going to provide oil for China.....after being refined here in the vast petrochemical compex near the Houston ship channel and other places on the Third Coast...which wouldn't have done much for Americans Anyway..it goes on and on..now they do have refineries on the West Coast....but they not nearly the refining capacity of the enormous facilities here...so I don't know how much credence to put in the theory that the pipeline in now heading for the West Coast...pick your favorite rumour I guess...wish I had concrete info...

Maybe it's just me, but with the world population exploding to the tune of over 6 billion residents, birth control does not seem to be such a really bad idea, does it?

I like this article and thought I'd share:

I'm actually starting to agree more and more with the last sentence. The responses to this article are pretty funny. Have a great day.

Yet 90% if Catholic women use birth control. My father (Catholic) had his tubes tied after his third son.

The idea of having many children is of the days when many died before growing up. It also comes from making a massive group of the same ideals, such as the same religion.
It did not hurt to have more kids to work the farm either.

We do not need this anymore. Problem is, religious ideas do not progress so easily. They are thought to be perfect, of a perfect all knowing god.
Clearly it was just men making rules that helped their society of the day.
Things change but religion cannot.

Now this is the political talking point to gin up the base of republicans for Santorum lovers. Yet Newt is Catholic.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Taurus

Get involved in financial transactions at your peril under today's Lunar Eclipse, because certain people will use them as a stick to beat you with. For instance, if you ask someone to lend you money they'll either make you feel guilty about it or dredge up all sorts of past instances when their trust was betrayed. You would also be well advised to avoid any show of possessiveness or jealousy, even if you feel it, unless you truly don't care about the disastrous outcome.
