Southern Indiana pair arrested for alleged thefts from storage units

Again the residents of Scott and Jackson counties continues to give (ALL) a black-eye. The couple are alleged to have stolen property from other people. If they did(?)it,I hope they are prosecuted. Maybe Clark Co. officials will give them what they deserve.

I wasn't really sure about Lexington. I, at one time lived in Jefferson Co. with a Lexington address. Anyway, my point was not to diss Jackson county, it was a statement meant to bring attention to both counties that some people would like to hear more good instead of the never ending crime both counties seem to have.

So, what's your opinion sunshine? Why do you suppose the crime rate is escalating in these counties? Do you think (like so many do) that we just seem to have an abundance of bad residents?

I've got lots of opinions, however I really don't know what the answer is. I just wonder why the ones living this life style has gotten to this point in their lives. I wonder why they are willing to abuse theirselves and also society without any remorse. It appears their self-respect is completely gone, it they ever had respect. They certainly don't care about families these crimes touch, including their own.

It says a lot about Southern Indiana as a whole when its rife with druggies, alcoholics, and total pieces of white trash. What an embarassment.

Herman, name a place where there are no drugs, no alcoholics and no trash and we'll all move there together, there is no such place any more.

It has a lot to do in these areas with not having paying industry and jobs in these places. These counties are becoming vast wastelands filled with meth, drugs, burglary, crime, etc. You have a local good ole boy structure that wants to keep these places the same they have been forever. They don't want constructive change, common sense economics, real paying jobs, and doing something productive. They want us to be paupers and living in poverty. Thats why these places result in drug usage, crime, and all kinds of other issues.

Lets ask why the state of Indiana allows for Southern Indiana to be turned into a vast cesspool of crime, drugs, and illiteracy. Why is it that the Southern part of Indiana lacks jobs, economics, decent paying jobs, and anything more than small piddly businesses that don't pay anything but the lowest wages possible.

LETS ASK WHY temp agencies have popped up all over the place paying substandard wages and weakening the employment and job structure. Why is it that these PIMP agencies have been allowed to do this.

Why doesn't the local community start asking why their governor doesn't pay attention to the common sense economics and policies to benefit all Hoosiers outside of Indy. Why the state is in a hole with the tax problems and everything else. Why is the state LOSING residents having become one of the outbound states. Why is it that Indiana in 1965 was 17th in the USA in income but now it is 35th. Thats a pretty big fall. Even as low as some of the Southern states. What a shame.

Why is it that the state is becoming a breeding ground for drugs, meth labs, and the like. Where crooked cops are covering for the true criminals. Why is that?

I have always thought that Temps should be run thru the state employment agency : WorkOne or whatever they are calling it now.
The privately owned temp agencies charge 1.5 over what they actually pay the temp....so if they pay the temp 8.00 per hour then they are billing their client company 12.00 per hour.
If the state took over all that action then the worker could end up with most of the money.
Still........until we run our own candidates and get our own ideas working then life is going to continue to head downhill for all but the rich.

All of you have valid points. However, the problem is much, much, deeper and more widespread than anyone can imagine! A great deal of the problem is that we as a society have fostered a way of life for millions of people who SHOULD be working soing something! Even if it's a meanial job. Welfare is the biggest breeder of poor lifestyles, poor choices, over breeding and many other problems in society. Why would people want to work when they can get a check for sitting on their ass doing nothing? The whole program needs to be revamped. The legal system is a pathetic joke too! I say if someone breaks the law, they do time. Time off for good behavior is getting released when your sentence is up. If you misbehave then get your stay extended more! People NEED to be held accountable for their actions and have some fear of breaking the law! But these losers are everywhere, not just in S Indiana! I live in Superior WI and we have a ton here too!

As the fool I am, to have moved to southern Indiana, I know first hand, how dishonest most of these people are, and they all go to some church, and praise Jesus...then turn around and lie, steal, harass, and in general, act like complete terrorists to those they do not like or who they disagree with...ESPECIALLY us "outsiders"...even tho my family was born and raised here, I was not, and the good old boys have now run my family and I out of 3 homes...going on the fourth..WHY??? because I dared to complain about one of them...now I am forced to complain about 50 or more....they are like rabid dogs....who get the scent of blood, and go insane...and I am NOT exaggerating....we WILL be forced to move soon...it is pathetic, and it is this way everwhere south of Bloomington, In....beautiful countryside, HORRIBLE people, if you get on their badside, and they are PROUD of this fact...

Boy, somebody sure touched a damn nerve! Sounds to me like a bunch of ya outta just take your asses some damn place else! I lived and worked in 3 different counties in Southern Indiana and I'd damn sure take it over Louisville any day! I was born and raised there, got fed up with all of it and moved to the "Sunny Side" of the River. I've lived amoung and worked amoung some Mighty Fine Folks here! You're gonna find shit wherever you go these days. The secret is to not step in it!!
