County votes SWA member back on board

If you aren't supposed to support your friends, just who does Worley believe we should support? Is it new blood needed, or is Mr. Jones not always answering Mr. Worleys' questions with a YES SUH! Look at the money trail. We really should elect a board to run the SWA. I bet Mr. Worley would really be opposed to that one.

High Noon Face Off between County Council and Mayors.
County Council backed down and stuck Horry citizens with continued trash problems. Fleet will be the new Chairman of the Solid Waste Authority. City residents will be faced with evermore increasing cost of garbage pick up. The Solid Waste Authority and the County Landfill will keep on keeping on. The county budget will continue to be subsidized by the cities b/c of extra fees charged to them for burying garbage. We will continue to get what we've been getting, deservedly so.
And so it goes in the Independent Republic of Horry.

If Harolds logic is right then why did he vote to reappoint the other guy? Answer: because he is carrying out for the 1000th time his own personal crusade using his elected office to do so. This is the same guy who filed a lawsuit to block and stop the Conway bypass? Why do you good people in Little river support him?

Does needing new blood mean a different blood type or what? More details about the old blood would be a good idea in the news. It sounds like a good political story to me.

Maybe you have hit the nail on the head! Wonder what the big deal is for Mr. Jones about serving on this board anyway unless he has BIG gains from it??(either from the waste authority or other interest)

More reputable representation on the SWA Board is what we really need! Unlike Mr. Norfleet Jones, who manages the Crazy Horse Strip Club in NMB. Yeah, that's right. You know slime runs deep and downhill! Why would all the mayors in this county support someone to run government that runs a strip club, too. So Mayor Rhodes really hits a nerve when he constantly suggest that we are a "family beach." But, hey he could possibly be a patron at the Crazy Horse who is looking out for his buddy. All four mayors that spoke on Jones' behalf last night should be ashamed of themselves. Maybe next time they are up for re-election the good citizens will remember just who they supported for our county boards. Crooks!

i heard from a very reliable source that mr. jones had also been arrested in nmb for a gun violation, possibly pointing and presenting, and a local atty. clark represented him, don't know how the case turned out

Hi waterdog,waterpuppy here: I served with Harold in the Statehouse and your facts are correct, however you forgot to tell all. If you recall Harold was pushing the Southern Bypass route. At the time I too thought he was wrong. However here we are 15 yrs later and very few tourist and only a few locals use the norther bypass Hwy 22. Even the MB chamber of c demanded the SCdot change the signs near Anyor redirecting Mbeach,Surfside traffic back onto hwy 501. You folks down there need to wake up, do the right thing by taking that 46,000,000 you are throwing away on the Anyor bypass boooondoooogle and use it to help build a Southen bypass around Conway. Carolina Forest residents you will never get relief until you demand it. Remember you were promised relief [501] with the Northern Bypass over 15 yrs ago. Give um hell Harold....No, better than that just tell um the truth and the self servers will think its hell......see you soon....

Because the other guy is John Long; John was serving the remaining term of Tom Anderson who stepped down off the board when he was elected to Conway city council. so in effect John Long is new fresh blood on the board. had no involvment in the contract issues. Harold "cotton" Worley was on the right track last night; he just needed a few more facts that he is missing and he could have had Larry Lewis the temp director fo the SWA going into cold sweats. More dirt is their.... Harold is getting closer

this thing seems strange, with this type of debate, one wonders why jones would even want it after first being denied, it is not like he had a mandate, by the way what expertise does he have in garbage, i'm curious as to why

the funny part is no one on the board has any trash background. You could sell them a pig in a poke and they would not know. Hey they hired Bessant from unlimited sanitation to work at the SWA after he was forced out at unlimited. Ask Donald godwin of partner of unlimited why Bessant was forced out.

was he really the chief, i did not find that on the raleigh web site think he was a little under that i know he owned a shag club,,,prob where he got his juice with hatley and rhodes does he manage the strip bar for sure if he does liz is a big hippocrit on the strip bar and family beach i liz vote for me liz is got to go to bad we can't have a referendum on her

So I was told this is a new job he has, not his previous ownership in the nmb main street club.

wouldn't jones have to reveal certain employment on some type of request, resume, or application to serve on the board, wouldn't they want to know about the person that they have to work with

it seems very strange that this some under lying currents and plots

i have known harold worley for a long time, harold is one of the most honest, fairest people you will ever find if you are looking for something fishy, you should probably look at photo op hatley of me me jones its all about me

i wouldn't trust either one of them hold on to your wallet, the solid waste will go out of sight
