Parents & taxpayers wake up. The state of Oklahoma spent $49 million on head superintendents last school year. The answer is not cuts in the classroom at the expense of your children. Clean house, consolidate those 386 school districts that have less than 500 students and quit making public education a place for career advancement for "those who can't". Classroom teachers, bus drivers, cafeteria workers are the closest people to your kids and the lowest paid. Save money by getting rid of the spare baggage in the administration building. One administrator = 2-3 teachers. A large part of the problem is we have folks with education degrees trying to run the business of the school. Hire a couple of MBA's to come in and fix this mess.

I have worked in and out of schools in Tulsa and Muskogee for five years now and one of the biggest problems I see in school waste is technology. We ae spending millions on gadgets. For hundreds if year children were taught with books, paper, and pencils. A good teacher does not need toys to teach. I do not buy that our children will be "left Behind" if we have one less LCD projector in a classroom.

I think that this is an excellent idea to say that you need help and to listen to what others have to say. Thank God for this type of attitude, may be DHS will do the same. You will get the help that you need. God Bless You!

The Lord is really working on this one. Please take this advise. We are the most wasteful Country in the World. But it is time to go back to the old ways of doing things. Children are spoiled and we are teaching them to become more spoiled. Put their imaginations to work. Take way the devices and see if they can solve problems the way that we did, this way if a computer system goes down they can solve the crisis without the use of any electronic device. I am seeing something that really makes me sick, electronic Bibles in the Churches and laptops on the Pulpit. Where are we headed with this type on none sense?

The world is your oyster. There isn't anyone you're afraid to talk to or any situation you're afraid to place yourself in. The word 'extrovert' must have been coined just to describe you. You're the master of time at the moment, cutting through red tape and getting right to the heart of the matter. If you use the right words, you can make anyone see your point of view, even if they don't agree.
