Its time for people to realize in most cases unions in this country have lived out there usefulness. There are to many people willing to work for less money than most union expect. Working conditions are much better than 50 years ago and there are more laws in place to protect workers. Mainly unions today are just a money machine and a voting block for the Democratic party. I would think these people would realize that 14 months of no work is a clear message that their union has let them down. Now is the time to do what is necessary to get there jobs back even if it means dropping the union. What is more important their families or the union? the answer seems simple to me...

Lets see. We are in the middle of a recession and this group of people are bickering over a few lines in a contract that would send them to work with raises over the next few years. Unions are becomming a detriment to this nation. Granted they did good 50 years ago and I appreciate that but the only people that benifit from unions anymore is the people in charge of the unions. All you have to do is look at the info out there, while you stike the boss' are geeting their pockets lined with money as well as their retirements. How is yours doing? I'll stay at my non-union company and stand up for myself when the time comes, no because joe-blow has a probelm! WHY?

This days union workers should never walk off there jobs. With or without a union contract.
I have been there working for Caterpillar and seeing a long strick there. Stay on the job and be unhappy. Any employer will be better off with a happy worker in the long run and will eventually come to an agreement with the union.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Capricorn

You're in a very generous and kind frame of mind today, and you'll go out of your way to help others if you think they need it. You might donate some money to a good cause or decide that charity begins at home. If you're buying gifts for some of your loved ones it will be difficult to know when to stop, because you could easily get carried away.
