Does anyone know if the jury came back with a verdict in the Kelly jarka murder trial today?
|

Judged: 2 Kelle Lee Jarka, 41 at the time of his trial, Below,is follow up info on Kelly Jarka. I do not believe he deserved this! He needs execution and God will finnish what he really deserves. Obviously,he did not practice his faith. Maybe, his name should be referred to as "Judas Iscorit".This would be far more fitting.Judas Iscorit had a special position with Jesus and betrayed that positiion and betrayed God. He showed no reaction as Judge Timothy Freer confirmed the sentence indicated by Jarka's conviction for first-degree murder Read more: http://www.sdnn.com/sandiego/2009-11-06/news/... |

Are you kidding me. They had no concrete evidence against him. The cop who interrogated him should be ashamed of himself. 10 hours of being told you are guilty for a crime is unbelievable. He never confessed, no murder weapon found, not a drop of blood on him. Anyone who watches any crime TV knows that if you bludgeon someone to death you are covered in blood spatter. Where was it? He was clean. No blood was found in the shower or sink. No bloody clothes were found. If you can be convicted of murder and sent to prison for life on such flimsy circumstantial evidence, this country has no hope. We are doomed. Everyone has debt. I have looked up some pretty strange things on the internet myself, but i'm not killer. I am ashamed of our judicial system. What a farce.

Just saw trail footage and his interview on 20/20.
Strongly believe he is innocent of the murder. Absolutely no solid evidence. All circumstantial evidences unconvincing but only poorly connected and forcefully shaped by prosecution. Interrogation poorly and wrongfully done. The interrogator was telling him what to say and what not to say. I can tell he was confused and dumbfounded and upset by the interrogator and was crying, and yet they said he showed no emotion during interview. The judge, at sentencing, contributed Jarka's lack of remorse to "sheer evil". Doesn't he know that the innocent also don't have remorse? The people handling this case are being very biased, illogical, and unprofessional. There are some really stupid and incompetent individuals in the legal system. |

I think the bias shown by the so called justice system in this case was very obvious. And as far as 20/20 is concerned, what difference does it make what the man's religion is? If he is a murderer, then state that. I don't think he is a killer. How many people that they do stories on as possible killer that they tell what their religion is? Not many. The so called evidence did not support the charges against him, let alone the conviction.
I hope he is trying for a new trial. His attorney did not seem to do much. Or it seems that way from 20/20. The media was more interested in talking to the prosecutors and police who, I believe abused their power. Where was his attorney during the 10 hour interrogation? The police was not even interested in his denials. He was repeatedly cut off. They did not know the man. How did they know what his reactions should be? He showed great grief to me. They made up their minds. He was doomed from the start. And why should he show remorse for a murder he did not commit? Who shows remorse for something they did not do? If that is what they based their conclusions on, then we all are in trouble. I hope none of them have to explain there reactions to an event that would make a person numb. People don't like JW's. I think that had a lot to do with the way he was treated and the conviction. Anyway, I hope he gets a new trial. It seems to me he has plenty of grounds for a new one. That so called trial was a travesty of justice. |

I watched the 20/20 program also and came away with the same thoughts about justice and the evidence. The evidence that the judge said was so damning seemed to me like tossing a coin in the air and proclaiming heads or tails. To try to get away with a murder nowadays is almost a 100% impossibility. It would seem to me that if it wasn't staged there would have been some physical evidence. There would have to be! But not a trace of blood? I was not a juror but I have kept and eye on this.

I think Dick Jones is evil.
Aren't there 7 things God hates? Oh Yea! Proverbs 6:16-19 "There are six things that Jehovah does hate; yes, seven are things detestable to his soul: 17 lofty eyes, a false tongue, and hands that are shedding innocent blood, 18 a heart fabricating hurtful schemes, feet that are in a hurry to run to badness, 19 a false witness that launches forth lies, and anyone sending forth contentions among brothers." I'm sure he fits in there somewhere. |

Are we above g_d to do his work? Judge not or let your self be judged. Let you with out sin cast the first stone. Let us remember that a sage of the highest rank of his day was judge and put to a human death. A soul that could not be bound to this earth. Sounds to me you have fear in your heart not the love of the father or the son, and do not know the flame of the most high angel. Judge him as a king oh he said I did not come to you as your king but a guide to my father. Life and death are only just at my fathers hand. The things you see me do are of my father not me. If you want a just act plant a tree in Zion in her name that for 100's yrs your love for her will live on. When the children of Zion started there way home. There was no shade at all now the fathers land has come back from the died and to life. When g_d takes me home my marker will be here in the usa but I pray my ash and soul will go to the east gate to awake when the father comes for me. Give one of g_ds Laws that said though shalt kill in my name?

The police department, investigators, jury, judge and attorney did a fantastic job. Mr. Jarka did not show the emotion a natural human being would show when his wife was just murdered. The circumstantial evidence was overwhelming and damning. Mr. Jarka appeared unaffected, constantly lying and apparently ready to begin his new life with his mistress and a whole lot of dough.. He definitely armed himself with protective clothing of which he disposed of on his errands, as well as the weapon. He staged the burglary quite poorly. Sad that a person claiming to be religious was so greedy and sick. He deserved the death penalty!

Kelly Jarka was building a custom house for my buddy. The guy did shotty work, never finished, and got paid by the bank. I complained to his worker the day of the murder about his bullshit.I told him the only reason you dont finish a job is because you dont have the $. In which Jarka didn't. He was in debt and couldnt make ends meet.In my eyes,he was a low life schiester.I feel horrible for his kids and new baby that are left without there mother. The insurance policy he took out just before the murder on his wife had not even matured yet. Also he had left to get baby formula at *am when they had some already. And the kids were conviently across the street at G-mas.

Shame on anyone who thinks circumstantial evidence is enough to put someone away. Most people would never believe an innocent person could be convicted unless it actually happens to you.
How many people have been sentenced to death on circumstantial evidence only to be set free with new DNA evidence? In this time of huge scientific leaps forward, convicting someone without having ANY credible forensic evidence is unacceptable. #1 I would rather have 10 guilty men on the street than to have even one innocent man in prison. #2 Anytime an innocent person is convicted, the guilty person is free to commit more crimes. Really think about this one. It is truth and justice that we’re really after, or is it vengeance and revenge? #3 Anyone who knows how homicide detectives operate would be terrified. They are supposed to rule out suspects, not go immediately into tunnel-vision mode and make decisions on who "looks" guilty. They often go on “a feeling”. These feelings have been proven to be worthless. #4 The criminal justice system is broken. Detectives and prosecutors are NOT interested in the truth; they are interested in clearing their books and getting promoted. #5 Most jurors are idiots who have never been in trouble and, because of that, assume that IF the police and prosecutors say someone did something, then it must be true. Most jurors believe that the police and prosecutors would NEVER put someone on trial who is actually innocent. FALSE FALSE FALSE. There have been so many incidents of the innocent being convicted, that it would be funny if not for the dire consequences. #6 Public defenders, for the most part, are the bottom of the barrel. These are the people who were the last in their class. Prosecutors are usually the opposite. It’s absolutely not a fair fight. #7 Never, and I mean NEVER talk to the police. ALWAYS ask for an attorney and SHUT YOUR MOUTH, no matter what they threaten you with. |

I Totally agree with Janet...could not have said it any better.
....People need to look at the situation inside and out with an open mind. That man is innocent. |
Yes, guilty life in prison without perole |
|

I believe they did not have enough evidence, but there was reason for him to do it for the insurance money. That's the only thing that does make me think he's guilty. Other than that I wuld say he's innocent

I agree with Janet, Rhoe, and all the others who are left in disbelieve. it's unbelievable the police are allowed to fabricate circumstantial evidence in order to make an arrest and get a confiction. Interrogate someone for 10hrs. How can a jury put someone in prison with NO EVIDENCE. In todays time that's all they preach FORENSIC EVIDEDNCE but when they don't have anything they accuse the the grieving family members who during their state of shock, disbelieve, and confusion they can't answer questions the way the detective thinks they should. I do not believe the detectives should be allowed to LIE and when all they have is circumstantial evidence they should be MANDATED to show the proof of how they searched for and ruled out other suspects. After watching these programs THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD VOLUNTARILY AGREE TO SPEAK WITH THE POLICE/DETECTIVES WITHOUT AN ATTORNY BEING PRESENT or better yet a subpoena Because you can not win with them: If you cry you are a put on; if you act irritated that they would accuse you then your guilty; if you are calm your guilty; if you are aggrevated or hostile at being accused of murder your guilty; if you don't get upset your guilty. On one of your shows I saw where a gentlemen had been released after years, years in prison only to have DNA exonerate him later. It was all TUNNEL vision and circumstanal evidence and evidence not given to the defense. I saw where 450 innocent people had been released from prison mostly through DNA who were convicted on circumstantial evidence. I knew innocent people were sent to prison I just didn't realize it was such a large number all because detectives and DA's get tunnel vision and manipulate evidence or create circumstantial evidence that is not there, that is just a part of life i.e. arguments, money problems, and god forbid if you have an insurance policy, That's automatic guilt !!!

Aquilla, that's horsedoodoo. I don't know this man at all. I'm not saying he's innocent, I'm merely saying that there isn't any evidence proving his guilt.
Quite frankly, I didn’t care for the man when I saw him on 20/20. But if we’re going to send people to prison for being a$$hole$, instead of for committing crimes, most of us would be in one. I’m going to give you some numbers from the book “Surviving Justice”. In 2002, the FBI compared the DNA from 18,000 suspected rapists to the DNA from their alleged victims’ rape kits. In 5,000 of these cases, about 30 percent, the suspect did not match the perpetrator’s DNA profile. These were cases that were heading to court. Most of these perpetrator’s WOULD have been falsely convicted. 30 PERCENT!! Wrongful conviction is not something I’m pulling out of my butt. It is a fact. There have been almost 300 death row inmates released because DNA proved their innocence. What about all the innocent people in prison who don’t have DNA evidence, or worse yet, where the prosecution has lost or destroyed the evidence? Just think about how convincing the evidence has to be to a jury condemning someone to death…yet it happens. And so many of those convictions were perpetrated against people just like Jarka. Because of circumstances. Having an insurance policy is a circumstantial thing, it’s NOT evidence. Americans are always digging our noses into other country’s human rights abuses, China, Iraq, South Africa, etc, but apparently we’re just fine putting our own innocent people in prison in our own country. |
