Oh I'm gonna hate living in Murray for the next month. No Buxton report, or stated "facts" from either camp is gonna sway anyone to vote yes or no. Let's skip the bitching, the yard sign's, the group meetings and all of it. Let's just go vote and get this over with.

I attend church every Sunday. And if I want to have a bottle of wine on Saturday night with my wife well then so be it.

I dont let my church or narrow minded people in my church sway my thoughts. There is nothing wrong with a drink now and then.

But your not going to judge me.

What jobs will be created? All the licenses will be taken by Walmart, Kroger, walgreens, CVS and the convenience stores. I don't see them hiring any new people, except to replace the ones they have that are under 21, since those employees won't be able to sell it.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not for or against it. I just want to hear your rationale for your statement of "more jobs".
Actually by law your only required to be 18 to sell it FYI

There is a little noodle operating on the keep it out side who likes to wave his pie charts and graphs. "Hey, look at me, I have pie charts and graphs that most of you don't understand. No, look at me! I have... charts... and stuff. Hey (tap tap) is this thing on?"

Let's take a moment to look into what's happening in Danville since voting wet, shall we?

Looks like there's a bitter pastor in their midst. Cops say not much has changed. Gee, really?

Mmmmm, mmmmmm. Sounds delicious.

Well, you don't say?

Uh oh. There's the door. Don't let the facts get in the way as you walk out.

Look over there. On the horizon. See that? That looks a lot like progress, Watson!

Oh wow, I thought Prohibition went out the window in 1933. Is this a joke, or is Kentucky really 80 years behind? I hope you all decide to approve electricity, running water, and paved roads, too.

History shows the only thing that changes when a moist town goes wet is the cash flow stays local. Alcohol is legal to posses, it's available by the drink in town, it's not much more than a half hour drive from anywhere in Murray. Nothing will really change in people's behavior. We have a much bigger problem in Murray with illegal drugs. You know, the ones that aren't for sale in local bars and restaurants. The ones you can't purchase legally in other counties. If we can't keep pot, meth, coke, ect out of schools exactly how is making a legal product available for purchase legally in other counties instead of ours going to cut down on the use of it.

Obviously Boone didn't post that comment. It's pretty hilarious that you thought he did though :)

Nah, I didn't. I try to be restrained on this forum. I never want to make fun of the mentally challenged, but this one that got my goat as being so egregious that I had to say something. The post made it sound like the owner of the Apple was the scapegoat of the opposition. I wanted to impart that this a community effort, and puerile comments by the opposition are easily spotted.

There's only one sanctimonious knob from the keep it out side that I can think of who would do something like that. He's loud and he really likes charts and graphs.

Could be anyone. From that guy to someone just trying to be funny. Went to school with Adam, his son, they are pretty cool folks. No need for this stuff.

Yeah, you're right. Really amateur statistics. Obviously no training in math or science. Just a firm commitment to "why don't we just make this shit up as we go, nobody will notice" because I show fellowship with a black person on my FB profile page.

MORE FACTS: The Danville, KY Chamber of Commerce presented the Community Impact Award to the Danville Committee for Expanded Sales for the successful vote to allow alcohol sales resulting in $657,000 in tax revenue, 50 new jobs, and an economic impact equivalent to more than $21 million consumer dollars. And Danville reports they have seen NO rise in crime or DUIs.

Pie charts and bar graphs, please. Otherwise, it's a lie and somebody might get date raped while beating their wife while driving drunk.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Aries

Keep a firm grip on your money today to avoid anyone else getting their mitts on it. If you're out in public you should keep your wallet or bag clamped to your side, just in case it goes walkabout. You should also make sure you check any bills and invoices that you're given, in case they contain a mistake. It's a day when errors and deceptions are highly likely.
