Law suit against Murray Calloway County Hospital

What about it???? Saw in the Ledger and Times where they were being sued!!!

As so they should!

O so need to be respondsble for the screw up . There are problemly more suits, that hasn't made the newspaper .

I know this family very well that is sueing, that are not a sue happy family. They are trying to keep this from happeneing to another family. A horrible death that was just because of negligence!!!

And of course they are trying to settle out of court to keep this quiet, i don't know who put it in the Ledger and times but Bless their heart for doing it! People need to know about this hospital before admitting them selves or their family there!!!

it's awful anytime something happens and someone makes a mistake and it causes the death of someone that could have been prevented. But i would bet that there isn't a hospital in the country that hasn't had this happen. yes if there was negligence then they should be held accountable. But any where you go to a hospital that will always be a possiablity.

I know this family and I can tell you that there wasn't one mistake. There were approx. 5 mistakes that caused her death with her family begging them to do something to help her. Snowball of mistakes is a little different than one. No one deserves to die the way she did. I can only hope that what happened to her dosen't happen to anyone else.

Sadly this is not the only incident of their negligence that has resulted in death. Nor is this the only lawsuit that is pending against MCCH.

That is so sad sorry for the framilys lost , how did she die , what did they do ?

This was Mildred Adams....most people in Calloway Co. would know her since she worked in the school system and fed what she called "her kids" for many, many years. Anybody who knew Mildred loved her! Losing her was as bad as bad could ever be!!! I know this because she was my sister-in law! Please keep her family in your prayer!

Mildred was a great lady . Everyone loved her. And she loved everyone .

It's about time time someone stood up to MCCH .
They can't keep getting by with this .

Good. Hopefully they will go out of business, or someone more responsible will buy them out. SPRING CREEK INCLUDED.
The care is awful.

Years ago I mentioned to a friend that MCCH would be better off being purchased by a for-profit corp, ie: Baptist. The place is useless. They built the new addition (which they can't fill with enough patients) while the rest of the hospital is pretty much unused. Now if they don't have enough population base to fill the new section, who will fill the renovated old section? They shoulda built an entirely brand new hospital. As usual...they f ucked up!

If it was the ER I understand. I had a problem there, but there are a lot of good people, doctors and nurses at the hospital. Don't get me wrong, if there was negligence it should be dealt with, but don't lump every person into a couple cases.

Those confined will become refined,

Mistakes happen in every hospital and to all healthcare professionals at one time or another. I am not saying that it makes it right, or any easier on family and friends, but humans are humans. Even doctors, nurses, etc. MCCH is a smaller community hospital that does the best it can with the given resources. And there are some excellent people working there. But sometimes things happen.
