Most likely Wal-Mart will fire all of them but so what? When you make minimum wage with no benefits it isn't that hard to turn around and get hired on in fast food which isn't any worse. With as many places that are popping up lately it shouldn't be too much trouble really. The problem with the economic structure in this country is that the owners have all the leverage. In other western countries workers can take their grievances to the streets and march when they are no happy. So often people moan and complain about government when it is big business that oppresses people on a regular basis. And since cost cutting is all the rage and businesses have to follow others to compete we have a race to the bottom in regards to wages and benefits. We keep putting up with longer hours and heavier work loads while out paychecks are getting smaller and smaller and benefits are nowhere to be found.

I worked in the restaurant industry when I was in high school and college and I saw some super shady people get hired. With a half dozen new places that have opened and are opening they are going to need a lot of people. Fast food tends to be less selective than retail.

Trespassing is a misdemeanor, no employer will care nor check at that wagw level. Walmart is a store I frequent and personally, the employees have been great with service and professionalism. I can understand trying to hurt their bottom line to enforce change, but I would be leery to turn public favor agaisnt your cause through bad service. You want the public to be aligned with you and not against you. I work for many affluent customers in Murray and even on my bad or difficult days, I strive to leave them with a positive experience. I'm all for your cause and goals but would approach them with caution.
One last word on this is that if there is a sit in and when the police are called, which they will, be passive and polite but have someoen recording the situation. This helps avoid any heresay and also documents the situation, most likely for your benefit.
Good luck, but tone it down, it's understandable to be hyped and excited, but angry does not play well.

But things around about to change. We have 47 people willing to walk out Friday. Many cashier will just stand there and scan 1 item a min. Maybe 2. We are going to tell people that we don't have items and know we have them hidden in the back.
The goal is to piss off enough of you that you leave the store for Office Depot or whatever other place as sales. Walmart get stuck with as much crap as they can until they have to mark it up to full priceATT Free Msg: Your data usage has reached 3GB this month. Using more than 3GB in future billing cycles will result in reduced speeds. You can use Wi-Fi to help avoid reduced speeds. Visit www.att.com/datainfo or call 866-344-7584 for more info. At the same time making people hate shopping here for good.
We will get out 25,000$ a year and everyone other weekend off with full healthcare or we'll drag Walmart into nothing!!!!
What the hell do you think that's going to do? You people are stupid.

Name? Who did you talk to? Tell me what part of the store. Better yet what lines where open. Where were the ads at? How many carts where in the front? What line did you use?
What did you buy and what was the cost total?
I call bullshit on everything you said.

I just wanted to let you know that I've had a chance to talk to some friends I know in personnel. The MyShare payment you said was gone will be on the December 20th pay period. You've been proven to be a liar again.

No I'm not. Check with personnel yourself. Of course after Friday you probably won't have a job so you needn't worry about it.

MyShare does still exist in murray. Worker is full of crap and apparently doesnt really work there. I cant see 47 employees wanting to go with this guy and chain themselves to sliding doors that have nothing to chain to. How exactly is he cutting tv wires unless they are floor models and they stay on most of the time. I smell a liar!

Worker is a liar. The strike will fizzle out. If there is a strike they will all be fired and go to jail and that will be the end of it. Worker does not work for Wal Mart and never has. I was there for 25 years and still have friends there despite retiring 4 years ago from the Mayfield store and I know Wal Mart backwards and forwards. Wal Mart would not tolerate a walkout. The employees would not have a job for long. This is a Union that is trying to force it's way into the company. The "strikers" are more than likely people this Union has put up to pose as associates in order to force Wal Mart to unionize. They have failed at evey attempt to bring a Union into Wal Mart and they will fail this time too. Let them sit their time out in jail and hopefully they'll get the hint. But then again maybe not. Liberals never do.

You said you left just after the super center opened. That is a far cry from 4 years ago.
Then you say some crap about liberals.
I call bullshit on you.
I'm telling the truth. Want me to name some names at the Mayfield store? People I worked with? Does the name Debbie Hamontree (nee Alderdice) ring a bell? Her son Chris? How about Debbie Wiggins (nee Laird)? Jennifer Yonts (nee Crowder--Not there anymore) Carla Yates?(She's at the Eddyville store now and she is now Carla Eubanks) These are people I worked with and all of them are friends of mine. I'm 69 years old. When you get my age time tends to fly. I may have been off on the "shortly after the super center opened" but time goes by a lot faster when you get as old as I am. The names I mentioned above makes a liar out of "thomas" too, BTW. He showed up on another thread.

Now, I have some questions for the so-called, "worker". Let's see how much this "worker" knows.

1. What is the "10-foot rule"?
2. What are CBL's?
3. What is an MSP?

Another thing that I call BS on "worker": Wal Mart employees are called Associates, not "workers".

I could hit you with more but I want to see if you can answer these first.

My name does not conern you, "worker". I see you didn't bother to answer the questions I asked to see if you really are a Wal Mart associate. The simple reason would be that you can't answer them because you don't really work for Wal Mart and never have.

Sales in the black is a good thing you moron. That's why they call it Black Friday. It's the day when sales go from red to black.

Now you name. Because you are lying. Trying to spread fear. We will strike down Walmart. Black Friday will be black indeed for Walmart sales.
They still use them just like there is still a My Share. Your ignorance is showing. You are definitely not a Wal Mart Associate. Nothing is going to happen on Black Friday either other than it will be busy and Wal Mart will earn a lot of money.
