I am compiling my family tree and I’m keen to get in contact with any desendants of David Clydesdale 1865-9/10/1911(who was my great great uncle) and who married Agnes McFadden 1859-1940, in Loughbrickland Presbyterian Church on Thursday the 13th of November 1884. They emigrated to the USA on the 28th of June 1894 from Glasgow on board the Furnessia. David and Agnes were accompanied by their daughter Mary Jane and an infant (Agnes Junior). Mary Jane and Agnes were both born in the UK. In America they had 3 further children, Lizzie, John W.(1895-23/5/1962) and Roger (15/3/1897 - 1/6/1953). Upon emigrating they moved to the village of Scottsville, in Monroe County, New York.
Mary Jane married Fred J. Clark, Agnes married Henry Irving Davis on Thursday 21st June 1917 in the Methodist parsonage, Scottsville, Elizabeth married Henry Marlowe on the 5th November 1913 in the Methodist parsonage, Scottsville, John W. married Ruth Mowson and Roger married Helen Armstrong.
David’s brother Joseph 1870-1942 married Jane McFadden 1866-1959 (Sister of Agnes), in Loughbrickland Presbyterian Church in 1885. They also emigrated to Scottsville village. They had three daughters Margaret, Sarah E.and Anne M.
Margaret married Thomas Doran and Matthew Duncan b. 02/01/1882 and d. 09/01/1971. She had a son Thomas William Doran. Sarah E marrried Edward Timothy Burns of Rochester at 9 o'clock on Wed the 9th of January 1913.She then married James Hoag on the 11th of December 1920 in Smethport, McKean, Co. Pennsylvania. and Anne M married Thomas Jay Couse.
I am keen to get in contact with any of their descendants. The important names are Clydesdale, Marlowe, Couse, Hoag, Davis, Ingalls, Mowson, Hughes, Redman, Duncan, Alexander, and Doran
