Just curious why they call it the peoples bank of Mullens, aren't we as citizens of Mullens called people. My point is that when I needed help they refused to grant me a small loan to pull us out of the wringer to keep us from losing everything after my spouse was forced on disability. Now she had to start back to work while in pain to keep us from losing our diginity and posessions. My small account has been there for 4 years to loan out to the people who don't need money but since I needed money for a good use I was refused.Maybe they need to be reminded its our little people's money that started the bank to loan out to the wealthly who really don't need it to start with. It's a shame our local bank will not help the one's who need it most so they end up leaving Mullens and Wyoming County because our local bank will not support the one's who got them started in the first place.

Personally I think we the PEOPLE should pull our small accounts from the bank and then see how they would react when the drive thru and lobby is full of PEOPLE to withdraw the money from our so called PEOPLES BANK.My grandpa in Logan county would buy a car or get a loan with just an old fashion handshake,no questions asked,no doubts, and leave then buy a new vehicle in the same manner.

If your credit score is below 625, you are a bad risk. You obviously don't manage money correctly, or you just choose to NOT pay your bills. Banks have rules, do you konw how many people don't pay loans back? Of course not, you just know what you think you see. I'm sure if you don't have much money in the bank, they don't need it and it won't hurt them at all if you leave. Try Citifinancial they'll loan money to anyone.

Obviously you must be someone whose parents give you everything so you don't have money problems, for your information my credit score is over 675 and is good,my debts exceed my income. Before you bash someone maybe you should think before you come on here and give advice.Maybe you should have read my first post before you made your remark, thats the trouble with people no heart.

Think again, I work everyday. I pay my bills. Everything I have, I've gotten with my own payday. Why did you mention the 625 part if your credit score is above taht??

For your informatin our credit score is over 625..but I chose to go with someone else. BECCAUSE this area has had its share of ups and down and this small town bank should know that. I was a child in the 80's and when the coal business fell threw the floor. Do you think the problems o those families were poor money management. Give me a break!!! take off the blinders or watch some news at the state of our country!! Bad things happen to good people everyday

No matter what the circumstances are the bank is not there to give anyone a free ride. If you are at risk or your debts are higher than your income you are not going to get a loan. A loan is another debt and if you can't pay the ones you have now you won't be able to pay the loan off either. The banking system is not a form of welfare you know. You people need to get some common sense. You would not loan money to a bunch of people who could not pay you back either. Especially if it was your job and business.

I have found that the majority of the people who work there are RUDE. They treat me like I'm some sort of criminal or something, while they treat my husband like gold! He thinks that I'm making it out to be worse than it really is, because they're all so nice to him. I'm sick of being treated like trash every time I call and need help with something, or when I go through the drive through to deposit money or to cash a check. There's only one nice woman that works there. The rest are mean.

i have had an account there for over forty years.if you can pay back a loan they will let you have it. i wouldnt risk my own money, why should they? the bank cant pick up your hard times. thats what the old saying "saving for hard times mean". they loaned us the money to buy our home, so establish your good credit and you will have no problems. i think a lot of you talking bad about the bank need to go to the welfare office not a bank.

This is for all the people that have made negative remarks about my post.I wasn't looking for a free ride from the bank,I paid my bills monthly and all was ok till my wife took sick and could not work.We fell behind and the bills added up so I went to borrow money to pay up on the bills and pay off some bills and be even.My credit score is over 650 as explained by the bank officers and was told my credit was good.So if my credit is good how could I have been a bad risk, next time read the beginning post before yo bash me and tell me to go to Welfare for help.My income wasn't enought to keep our finances afloat, all I was referring to was when I needed the banks help they refused a Mullens citizen again. Thank You

Your credit score alone won't get you a loan. If your income wasn't enough to keep your finances afloat how in the world could the bank make you a loan knowing that you could not repay it. That makes no sense what so ever. They are loaning other peoples money and must do it prudently, your personal needs and unfortunate situation not-with-standing.
