so there are three of them? you are wrong ace. if they were grown men the mom would not be doing the manly work. you should all just ignore them if they are just school kids. you can't expect them to act like adults when they are not. give them a few years to get some hair on their chests. they just entered puberty not too awful long ago fcol. gosh! kids will be kids. especially boys.

I have a question about hauling these kids on the Fire Trucks. Benton, West Frankfort and alot of other cities will not haul people on top of thier Fire trucks. I guess because of the seat belt law. Not sure. But what does West Cities insurance company say about insurance coverage if someone did fall off. Are they covered.

My step-daughter was part of the Benton track team when they won a couple of sectionals. The West City firetruck was always the one meeting them to taking them around the square. I know that doesn't answer your question about insurance, but I still remember the look on her face as everyone was cheering for them on the square....PRICELESS!

To 2 Sam- Have you ever had a conversation with this mother?
I have. She has absolutely no problem telling people about the pride she has in her kids. Also has no problem telling people about their short comings! Everyone knows about the water tower! I do know that the twins work, pay for their gasoline and insurance. Yes, the oldest one lives at home.(wish my mother would have let me do the same). She also takes pride in him, he has a business that is successful and recently became a partner in a photography business that has been established for years. He also goes to college, pays his own car payment, insurance, gasoline, and kicks in for his portion of household bills.
When she talks about them, it is funny, because she tells it all.
I just think if you were to talk to her, you would realize that the things you say on here about her and her kids are untrue.

Its nice to see someone else on here that is tired of them (Kays) getting smacked down. They might be getting to the ones on here that dont know them, but for the ones that do know the family, know better and will never change their minds or opinions. All the bashers just look like jealous grade school kids, and who knows, they might be.
You couldn't have described them any better though.

I heard it and couldn't believe it!! I guess boys will be boys no matter who your dad is. they have always said that Preachers kids & cops kids are the worst HA! HA! But, I know that those are good boys. As for the chief, I really dont know too much about him other than what I have read on here and heard.

I've always wondered why West City still lets kids ride on top, I witnessed some children on top of a benton fire truck reach up and grab the power lines about 10 yrs ago. It wasnt long before I saw benton would no longer let people on top of the fire trucks. Its pretty amazing to me that it still goes on considering the amount of low tree limbs, low power lines around benton and West City. But you know how those things go, it'll take one kid to fall off or get zapped to get things to change, of course then it'll be "whats wrong with you letting a child ride up there, who do I need to sue" mentality like it is today.

Even though my step daughter loved riding the firetruck after a successful time in Charleston, I guess it's not worth the liability. I think the firetruck should follow the school bus carrying the athletes into town, and to the high school. After all the BS on here about Benton and West City, why would the high school kids even want to share their hardware with a village that doesn't support the the town the kids go to school in.

I believe that the benton fire department would still lead the teams in, but not on the trucks.
