Rend Lake Parade

Just wanted to put it out there that the Rend Lake parade is Saturday, May 10, at 10:00am. We will be having fire trucks in the parade this year just like those in the past. Anyone with children who would like to ride the truck in the parade can reach our fire chief by calling the village hall Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 4pm.

Where is the parade?

What happened to all the nice floats and bands? The horses?

Probably needs to be moved to Sesser....

I want my child riding a truck that he can fall off of. Then I can sue the city.

I must say that every time a Benton sports team does well, the West City firetruck in the one that meets them when they come back into town. For that, I will give them credit.

Never heard of the them trying to sue. I am sure if they are, there is probably good reason. I think all it would take is one person to get the ball rolling and several, AND I MEAN SEVERAL people would come out of the wood work with stories of their own, which would probably lead to more lawsuits.

What is your point about them being a working family? No, they are the ones doing the harrassing!! From what I hear they are supposed to cause a scene at the Benton High School graduation Saturday! People who comment on here are doing the same as you are.

He is right. And as far as I can tell the only one that works is the mother. Pretty pathetic to have three grown men in the house and the little 100 lb woman does all the manly work. They should stop being such ginger little babies and get off their asses and work.
