I would like to make a comment for the record. I will be the first to admit that at times I make mistakes as does everyone. And I am man enough to admit it and to say I am sorry for when I fall short. And at times the board members do disagree on things. But not all people think alike. I feel that all the board is for progression. But some want to go in different directions at times. And as far as Benton goes the board and myself are for working with them. We would all like to see great things for our community. But we sure as hell are not going to give the farm away. Not to Benton nor Buckner or anyone for that matter. There have been many people who I have a great deal of respect for who have put their time and their hearts into this village to make it what it is today. And the residents are smart enough to know the difference between a good deal and a bad one. They are the ones with the power in this little town. And they will decide who they want to represent them now and in the years that follow. And any person who is a sore loser or puts down others for their achievements out of jealousy are losers in life in general. If the only way a person can get ahead is by putting others down and cannot attain success on their own good merit, then they don't deserve to win. And there are more important things in life than politics and elections. I am starting a new family and want the best for them and myself as well as our town. When you surround yourself with hate and jealousy it will consume you and eventually destroy you. And some of you are right. I did have a bad temper growing up. But I grew up and am an adult now. And yes I did make a poor decision on the parking deal at city hall earlier this month. I should have handled it correctly in a different fashion. But I stand firmly behind my beliefs and principles. And I am not afraid to tell anybody what I think or feel is right. I know that I have the cities best interest at heart. And I know some of you will cut me down or try to discredit me but I want you to know something. I don't hate you for the things that you say about me. I simply pity you.

So, your comments about the loitering in the town to the east is not a derogatory statement?

I think the guy meant the loitering that goes on in any of the area towns. I think he just picked "the town to the east" because everyone there at the meeting was familiar with it.

And where did you read that in this forum where he said it wasn't derogatory? I don't recall him including that in the post. I bet you're the kid aren't ya? Grow up son! This is a good statement, if indeed, you are the mayor.
I think that you were picking on a certain family and making a mountain out of a mole hill about cars being parked on a lot. If they had belonged to anyone else, it wouldn't have been an issue.
I live in 'the town to the east', but the person who works on my car lives in your community. He is a fine mechanic & VERY reasonably priced, but also brags about how he is in good with the mayor (both previous and new) and the police department. This man takes cars for test drives, laughing about how he DOESN'T have a drivers license, knowing that NO ONE is going to stop him. And he's pretty amusing when he gets to drinking, cause he sure is a talker!

I have to agree with Sam. The West City egotist. Blame the Kays for everything. I will say I am hopeful for West City. The new Mayor seems to be his own man. With some fresh Ideas. he is trying to represent the people of West City. He should look at the past employment history. One former board member holds three key Jobs with West City. I like the guy. But come on. Its not fair. When your last name is more important than the publics trust. It seems like some reform is needed.

Let me ask you one question Mr. Mayor. If you really truly feel like you made a poor decision, have you went to this person/people and told them that?

At the last meeting, the Zoning Administrator was instructed to tell a local "business owner" that he was not to be operating in his location. What happened with this?

Seems like there is a lot of running behind peoples backs with the new administration.
