Gila Regional needs to be recognized for their employment office not returning calls or following up on interviews. In particular, their Therapy and Home Health Depts. interview many people even though they have already hired who they want. Sometimes this process stretches over several months even though the hires have been made. Think of all the people who interview and have no clue that they've already hired who they want. The federal EOE requires it. Recent job appicants need the NM unemployment office to investigate.

Gila Regional also pays very low compared to other hospitals in the state. Looking to Tucson, wages are double many times.

As for the record keeping, it's a feel good pat ourselves on the back thing. If it's so good, why do they have such high turnover in doctors? What good is records if the care is sub par.

My guess is that they continue to interview in case their first choice doesn't work out. Also, this provides them with a pool of applicants that may be useful in the future. Would you rather not be interviewed at all, or interviewed and kept on file?

GRMC pays lower than Tucson for a simple reason: the cost of living in Silver City is lower than Tucson.

And how does the high turnover in doctors have any relevance to the record-keeping?

Sounds like sour grap3es to me.

gila Regional treats thir employees well...as for hiring, maybe applicants don't have the experience and/or skills. ayou can have all kinds of degrees, but you need to have people skills.

Gila Regional is very clicky, If you aren't in the circle with admin., they push you out. There is alot of descrimination going on there & if you don't play the game your time is limited, no matter how qualified you are. I was in management at GRMC for several years, did a good job & was forced to leave because I was discriminated against by the hispanics.
