It did not take us much time to realize that this was not what we wanted for our child. This preschool is chaotic, dirty, and inhospitable. The noisy atmosphere is not because of the children, but it is because of some of the teachers who are constantly yelling at them. Most of the teachers seem indifferent to the safety and well-being of the children. We cannot recommend this preschool to anybody.

I absolutely do not agree with the previous post! I have sent my daughter to Hobbledehoy, and now I am sending my son there. The teachers are loving and kind. The environment is not dirty at all. I have recommended my friends to send their kids there, and I certainly will continue to do so.

Where are you sending your kids now?

Generally speaking it's more credible if you post this kind of information as a registered user with some forums history. Otherwise people will simply assume you're a disgruntled consumer with something to hide, instead of a reader with valid and valuable information.

I agree with you, I love the school, my children love the teachers and are inspired to learn, they love school thanks to Hobbledehoy. I have recommended the school to many people and will continue to do so.

I sent my daughter to Hobbldehoy years ago. I love the school. I remember the teachers as plesant and caring. They absolutely loved my child! My child learned alot there! I do not agree with the post however which states that Hobbledehoy is dirty and unclean. It may not be as nice as a four star hotel, but it is not the local dump! I as a parent, am more concerned about how my child is being treated. Do the teachers love and care about them? By the way, their are four teachers. Is my child learning something? Are they getting their primary needs met? The answere to all these questions for me is yes!

My husband and I have an 8yr. old son and a 2yr. old daughter, who will be attending Hobbledehoy in the fall. Our son, now attends Monta Loma Elementary School. From kindergarten through 3rd grade we have received positive feedback both accademically and socially from his teachers.(I also know of other past Hobbledehoy parents for whom this is true.) We believe it all started at Hobbledehoy and his very positive progress continues. As for teachers raising their voices, when I used to pick up my son from school, I never heard them raise their voices. Take note, that all the teachers have are their voices. As far as cleanliness is concerned, I have seen other schools, which are not as clean as Hobbledehoy. After all, children do play outside in the sand and tanbark. Therefore it should be exspected that they will get dirty! As a parent, I suggest that you bring your child to school in play clothes. One final thought, When I did pick up my child, his hands and face were always as clean as they could be for a boy who spent much of his time outside in sand and tanbark! My husband and I are looking forward to the next three years watching our daughter grow and learn with loving and nurturing teachers at her side.

Hobbledehoy is a chaotic and disorganized daycare. We sent my son there for 3 months and pulled him out because he was always dirty, the teachers aides were always yelling at students, and a few of the girls were bullies. We have since sent our son to The Wonder Years and he is thriving.
