After experiencing the success of T46, I knew I had to tell as many of you guys as possible about what they did for me.
I became a member three years ago. I did all the necessary requirements, spoke to all the right people and paid all the fees for the services. That was the hard part.“No pain, no gain”. From that came the “goodies”. My first event was a picnic at the most beautiful nature reserve campus. They put me in a group of eight (three other guys and four girls). They made all the necessary arrangements and set everything up for us. We didn’t have to lift a finger for anything. We literally got there and immediately were showered with snacks and refreshments from the nature reserve guys. We sat by a stunning lake and got to know each other. I met this one girl named Samantha who was bright, intelligent, funny, and drop dead gorgeous. We clicked almost instantly. After sitting with the crew for a few hours, she and I decided to go for a walk on the lake shore. We walked for an hour or so and came back. When the event came to an end Samantha and I exchanged numbers and went our separate ways. The next day, Thomas called me and said “Samantha had a great time at the nature place and had a VERY great time with you. She wants to be set up on another event with you specifically to get to know you better”. Without hesitation, I said “let’s do it”.“Is there any kind of activity you prefer”? Samantha told me during our walk that she really enjoys horseback riding but never really gets the chance to go. I told Thomas set up a horseback riding event. About a month later we went to some ranch in the mountains about a half our away. The whole time, Samantha and I rode side by side talking. It kind of reminded me of one of those western romance movies. I was very impressed at how well she knew how to ride a horse and I saw how compassionate she was when she pet the horse and always made sure it had something to drink. That’s the kind of girl I always wanted. One who loves animals and is sensitive to others. To make a long story short, Samantha and I went through ten months of serious dating before we got married. Crazy story no? I signed up looking not for a wife but for some good times and meeting new people. Little did I know, signing up changed my life forever. It just goes to show you that you never know where life is going to take you. As it says in my favorite movie Remember The Titans,“you just gotta pick up the ball and run with it”. Sometimes life is like a football game. You gotta try and never quit. Anyway thanks Thomas at T46 for all your amazing help. |

Given the volume of posts indicating a negative experience it seems to me best to stay away from TFS. Thanks for sharing to all who posted. I think we'd be better served creating a "TSF Bites-you-know-what!" club of our own, and take turns hosting it. At the very least there would be loads to talk about on one subject :-)

fyi to anyone interested in joining this service, they closed their OC, LA, Walnut Creek, Sac and Mountain View offices in Jan/Feb 09. Fired all staff and kept ONLY 1 sales person and one event person per area. So basically if you are a member all your one on ones and dinners are planned for you remotely from the sf office. They lie during the sales pitch to get you to join and if you READ the contract it protects the company from any false claims their sales people say so going out to dinner whenever you want, participating in several events a month and tons of one on one introductions are far fetched! unless your a guy of course. Its thousands of dollars and that doesnt include cost of dinners or events. Majority of the members belong to online sites as well so you're better off sticking with that. BTW they do not perform background tests, if you pay the fee your a member!

Some people have trouble with this service. I can’t imagine how or why that is only because I have had the experience of my life due to the Dallas branch. I have seen firsthand how well they organize things, how well they match people up with each other, and how well they do their jobs in terms of contacting you on time and how honest they are. I didn’t marry the first guy that I was set up with. However, I did eventually marry one of them. I didn’t expect things to change overnight which made me more patient in the company than all the people that slander them were. It took some time and I had some disappointments but in the end, they came through. Like I said before, they always managed to organize things very well and always gave me the feeling that they actually cared the next day when my matchmaker would call for the feedback. Besides for the price, I’d say this service is top notch.

Patrick from Israel and Leslie44 from Dallas, TX that is great for you guys if you have had positive experiences but you guys are two of the very few people who have! And Paul (gatorz01) that is terrible that your credit card company would not give you a refund. T46 should not get their money if they don't provide the service and providing a service is more than just sending someone out on a dinner (anyone can do that). I could walk up the street and go out to dinner with a stranger if that's what I wanted. This is a matchmaking/dating service. They need to set you up with someone who matches your criteria. After all, that is what we paid them to do, right? The bottom line is, they are NOT providing the service and if a customer is unhappy then they should be giving the customer a refund!

On 1/28/09, I filed a compliant to the BBB on Table for Six. Table for Six lagged in answering the complaint (6/19) and meeting the deadlines set by the BBB, standard procedure for this organization. The BBB closed the case on 7/22 and I was not awarded a partial refund.
My complaint focused on the staff's inability to introduce me to men that met my criteria and poor customer service. I found the men they introduced me to were too old. According to Marc, the CFO, ALL men are seeking younger women and what T46 does is "change this inclination of men and let them see the benefits of dating age appropriate women". That statement is a burn to all the men and women in T46. Marc is an arrogant man! I figure I met over 60 men and Marc agreed. Only 17 men fell into my age category according to Marc, meeting my request 28% of the time. I was 50 when I join and my age range was 45-55. The average age of the men I met according the Marc, the CFO was 57 years old, not even the average was in my age range. None of the staff shared that my age range would not work for their male clients. In most industries, meeting the customers wants at 28% is considered poor performance. Marc found this to be an adequate outcome. I would not have signed the contract with Brie had she told me that the men would prefer younger women so my age range was not doable and the staff works to meet the men's criteria at the expense of the women because this makes their life is easier (and Marc supports this practice). My feedback for the most part was just ignored. T46 misrepresented the organization ability to meet my criteria and continually were unable to introduce me to compatible men per my criteria. Marc, the CFO comments show the sexist manner the company operates. This organization is a scam. Don't sign up and all you dissatisfied people, keep the pressure on. I am still working on getting a refund. I am not backing down. |

Hey, good luck with you small claims court. The contract is horrible and makes things difficult to get a refund. I would like to recommend contacting the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission and Jerry Brown, the State Attorney. I still haven't got my refund however I only hope that if enough folks complain the business will go under. I wish I had read the blogs before I paid all the money.

I heard from the Attorney General's office. His office is interested in "patterns of business activity which might indicate the need for formal investigation or law enforcement action". Write him, let him know about the poor customer service, the false promises and inability to meet your requests. Collectively, we could bring some attention to this business that will bring it to its knees.
