1 I hope you're not trying to promote Craftsman as "quality".... It's a brand that's priced more than Depot's Ryobi and Lowe's Kobalt store brands, but is about the quality of the bargain-bin junk found at any Kragen's. |

We shopped at Napa OSH during a no tax weekend sale 5/8/08, and found that the MAIN isle ways were filled with display items that restricted the movement of shoppers and shopping baskets. My wife is in a wheel chair and her chair that is 28" wide was scrapping the displays in the middle of the isle and the steel shelving on the side of the isle. For safety of customers and employees, minimum isle way opening should be at least 36". Orchard Supply Hardware is a great place to shop with great people working there, but if something should happen, then many people could get hurt.

1 I have shopped at OSH in San Jose since 1965. I have always been totally satisfied with the advice from their knowledgeable staff and with their products. |

I have shopped at OSH in San Jose since 1965. I have had nothing but good advice and products. All of the items I have bought have worked out well (BBQ, outdoor furniture, table unbrella, shower door, security screen door, tools, paint, camping supplies, screening, water fountain, plants, etc.).

I would always recommend OSH(Petaluma)- the service is great and the sales staff are always helpful- you don't have to wander aimlessly for an hour to find items - they bring you right to them! |

Have you ever heard of a Allen wrench? Who do you think makes Craftsman Mechanics Tools Sets? Allen Danaher. It is the exact same products that they sold before Sears purchased them. They typically have very good customer service and there is always a cashier helping a customer. I can't say that for Home Depot. I was there last week to buy an items and there was no cashier. Just a self check out with 12 customers waiting. Needles to say I left my item and went to OSH. |

You would not know service if it bite you in your @#$###. If I walked into your business, whatever it may be, you would fail miserably compraed to OSH that performs from open to close. You are probably sleeping or watching TV while customers are being helped at OSH. You must be a night watchman. |

You are to used to buying your mad dog at 7-11. Hey, I walked in found the mad dog, walked to counter, cashier rang me up. Great Service. At OSH things are different. Intelligent people shop here with reasonable and intelligent questions. More than happy to help. I have had NOTHING but spot on help at OSH. Is it perfect, no. Spend 12 hours on the internet for 'stuff' and it is not perfect. You are dealing with people. That is refreshing.

John B Go to Home Depot you deserve each other |

I agree with Linda. The quality of hardware - hinges, nuts, bolts, screws - at OSH is superior to the "Ironworker" crap at Home Depot. And their Craftsman wrenches, although not Snap-on quality, are much nicer than "Wolfo" or whatever half-assed brand Home Depot sports.

Obviously Kawi, you don't know much about tools. If you look at the stats of craftsman compared to Ryobi, you will see that you are blowing smoke out your ass. |

1 You are obviously a disgruttled employee who probably got fired from OSH for being lazy and stupid. As far as training goes, I was a manager at OSH in ELKGROVE and I will tell you they have the best trainining procedures and best customer service |

Kawi, you just answered the question for us about your knowledge. Anybody that would go to Grand Auto for a socket set is lame, and anybody that only has $3 to spend on one is even lamer. So you stay at Grand Auto, and you might want to try the dollar store too, I think that would be right to your speed. |
