Is There A Police Helicopter Flying Around??

For the last hour, there has been the sound of the same helicopter hovering around in the sky. Anyone have any idea whats going on?

CUPERTINO, CA (KGO)-- A fire breaks out in a building on Valley Green Drive on the Apple campus in Cupertino.

A three-alarm fire breaks out on the Apple campus.

There are no reports of injuries. It is still unknown what caused the fire and how extensive the damage is.

We've heard it for the past hour too, shortly after what sounded like gunshots not too far away. Looking for more info online...

Oh yes, I can see the smoke among the buildings (and trees)
on the street. It's not in the Apple Campus but in smaller
office buildings. The smoke seems to be diminished by now.
I never saw fire, only smoke. The fire cannot be disastrous.

August 27th am from about 5am to 7am helicopters flying around. Anybody know why?

probably news choppers covering the turned over truck at 101 and Lawrence.

There's a chopper near el co in Sunnyvale again... And idea why?

Don't know why, but they've been in our back yard, and our neighbors back yards with drawn guns and dogs. They're shining their flashlights in and under cars ...

I hear the helicopter with the spotlight too. I'm near Central Expwy and Sunnyvale Ave. I thought maybe they were spraying that malathion for mosquitoes, but after reading the other poster here, it's possible the police are looking for someone hiding in the area. Thank goodness for the internet - I'll make sure to lock up tight, shut my blinds, and keep everyone indoors.

Yea, the helicopters have been circling the downtown area of sunnyvale for awhile now. It's getting annoying - have no idea what they're after, and nothing on the news about it...

I've been watching this helicopter circle for around an hour now... wonder if they are going to release anything on the news.
If anyone knows what they are looking for, please let the rest of us know.

heard that darn helicopter for 45 minutes so drove over toward the area to see what was going on. Cops are all thick in that area, almost at every intersection - seems to be centered around Fair Oaks between Old San Francisco and Evelyn. They also have floodlights illuminating that drainage ditch that runs through that area. Clearly looking for someone who's trying to hide. There were also some beat-up cars pulled over with drivers being questioned.

Thank goodness for this site. I couldn't find anything on any of the news outlets; called one TV station and they didn't even pick up their news tip line!

Helicopter is finally gone. A cop car drove down my street and backed into the driveway across our street for awhile; but recently left. No idea what's up...

The helicopter ran low on fuel,gave up. Cops were looking for bad Mexicans who killed some old White people for seven dollars!

What was the situation? I also saw the helicopter outside searching our apartment complex--anyone know the cause yet?
