I moved into a Saratoga neighborhood 19 years ago and I never saw a coyote. Now I see about 7 running through my yard every day at all hours, not just at dawn and dusk. However, 19 years ago everyone one had at least one dog. These dogs roamed freely and loved everyone in the neighborhood and everyone loved them. They kept the coyotes, bobcats, wild boars, etc., away. But then there were a few people who complained about "dog at large" or "dog barking." So as soon as these domesticated dogs died, they were never replaced because of the complaints. I'd rather hear domestic dogs bark and roam freely doing their job protecting their property than hearing the constant coyote night howling, plus these coyote defecate in your yard, eat your pets, threaten small children, etc. So there you go ... I hope you people who complained about "dogs at large" and "dog barking" are happy now! Enjoy the coyote howlings and the threat they impose on small children!
