I was shown a pipe back in about 1997 where the sewer supposedly dumped out into Sylamore Creek. I am not sure if this was correct and if it is safe to swim in the creek. Also how do we cleanse our water for drinking? How do we know our City water is safe? Can someone explain this to me? I appreciate any information you can share?

It was someone who grewu up here who showed me where it dumped in.

Thanks !

Do we have a water treatment center here that cleans the water before it comes into our homes? I have noticed a white film on all of my dishes lately and have to hand wash everything. Wondering if I should get a filter on the showerhead.
I never drink tap water or well water here.

If anyone is aware of raw sewage being dumped into any of our streams, lakes, or rivers then please speak up! It is unconscionable to not take action to protect our fellow citizens. Report it to any local environmental state agency or county official. You can remain anonymous if need be.

Mtn View has a sewage treatment plant. Water quality is inspected at least annually and reports are made available to consumers in the form of mailouts or they can be specifically requested.

I am not aware of water quality problems with any local deep wells. My well has excellent water for instance but it is 400 feet deep.

@Bra, I know of someone here who got really sick from an elevated Manganese level from well water down by the river. Had something to do with Caves and well water. Evidently we have a high level of Manganese in the water down Allison way. Dr Dibrell treated the person.

I was also showned that dump pipe going into Sylamore when I first moved here. It is over by 87. Not sure I could find it now. But I was told not to swim near there or buy a house along there.

I have a well that is around 350 ft which is clean and tests good. Out by Iron Mtn.

I am not very trusting of the City water either. Where can these reports be viewed?

Thanks for good conversation. Interesting !!

the information your are seeking is at city hall as for raw sewage being dumped look no further than your city park when it rains it overflows the pump they have down there it is a sewage pump station. then it goes into the little creek that runs through the park. open up your eyes or your nose you can't miss it.

there is way to do this differently but the way is way more expensive. but if mtn view wants to grow it will take major changes at the intake and treatment at the sewage plant.

Unhappy about the Fluoride. A huge racket and many are sensitive to it. No proof it helps your teeth by drinking it. Not a replacement for brushing and flossing. We stopped it years ago here but now it is Statewide. Some States have been sucessful in havinging it taken out of their water.

Would love to know the cost of putting that poison in our water.

Agree with you Killer
