Phoenix Project West Hosts Swashbuckling Fundraiser for Valentine's 2008

As of the end of March 2008, the U.S. Wounded Soldiers Foundation of Dallas, Texas, discontinued their Phoenix Project Retreat program without any warning or consultation with Phoenix Project West, which was working to bring those retreats for combat veterans and their spouses to the West Coast.
As of April 1, 2008, Phoenix Project West has been forced to discontinue operations and cancel a number of media, speaking, and fundraising events, and neither it nor its volunteer coordinators have any affiliation with the U.S. Wounded Soldiers Foundation. We will, however, continue to work on behalf of America's veterans.
We apologize for this sudden change of events, but those of us at Phoenix Project West received no communications about the discontinuation of the retreat program from either the executive director or the board of directors prior to their decision.

This is a great disappointment to those of us who served in the Marine Corp and continue to serve its Marines. I spent two years training our young men and women to play it smart in Iraq. I was lookig forward to providing coaching and energy medicine at the Phoenix Project West retreats.
