Janet Phelan is mentally ill. That is the first thing people who read her fiction should keep in mind. Everything else falls into place after that. Is it not surprising that no one takes her seriously, except for other in her fringe group who are also mentally ill?

Calling someone mentally ill is a common tactic used to discredited people. In a case where someone is making false statement, facts would be far more credible then simple name calling. Even if Janet Phelan were mentally ill that doesn’t necessarily mean everything she says is untrue. Why would you waste your time commenting on the ranting of a maniac?

j david horspool is responsible for the death of janet phelan's mother. he is also responsible for his own father being found unbathed for months at a time and in urine stayed underwear. he put his own father in a conservatorship against his will, and has no regard for his own father's wishes. his father is a retired naval captain and wwII vet. j david horspool has destroyed his own family at and has no remorse. he is a heartless human being. his wife weighs over 300 lbs and his all of his daughters are obese. he lives in an 8000 sq foot home. a home that was built with blood money from the elderly. our mother is rolling over in her grave at the things he has done.

It has been my personal experience that guardians and their lawyers will lie, cheat ,and steal from those they are suppose to be watching over and yet they spend their time trying to discredit the family members who know what they are and what they are doing to their parents or loved ones .People like Horspool need to be brought to justice and forced to pay for their horrendous deeds. Surely if our legal system won't do that hopefully G-d will. Let horspool and Melody scott spend every day of their life knowing that they WILL REAP WHAT THEY SOW

I have worked as a paralegal in NY and know first hand the game of disparagement and "shoot the messenger in the mouth" that attorneys play against anyone who tries to expose the truth.
I have heard Janet speak on several talk shows and have met her in person. I found everything she says about the horrible tactics used by many attorneys and court appointed people in guardianship and conservatorship proceedings are absolutely true. She know her stuff.

Mr. Horspool, I belive that it is the courts, and its appointed theives are the ones who are mentally ill when it comes to guardian abuse. You think that you can take a person, drug them, keep them from family and friends, and at the same time take their life savings, all the while saying that the family is evil, so as to take control and murder your victims. You sir are the mental ones, the people who have read Janets reports and listen to her shows, they know that this issue may be unbeliveable, only because you, and your kind are supposed to be doing the right thing by "PROTECTING AND PRESERVING" the wards and their estates, and instead you are the ones KILLING THEM AND THEIR ESTATES.

You and your kind will not get away with this abuse and murder for long. Thanks to Janet and her "fringe group", we have had enough and we are (with a huge THANK YOU to Janet, and others in her group) getting the word out.

I wouldn't have believed the horrid tales of guardianship I've heard about and lived through were possible five years ago. Across this nation people are working hard and accumulating wealth only to face possible false imprisonment and see their savings plundered.

It is well-designed racketeering. It is too bad their aren't more courageous media representatives.

Mr. Horspool, your public statement represents actionable slander subject to civil damages, are you aware of that? Are you prepared to defend a lawsuit? Can you provide ANY expert witness testimony besides unsworn statements of ccounsel to show that Janet Phelan is suffering from a mental disability that would be admissible in a court of law? You are nothing but a footsoldier for the corrupt guardianship racket, which proceeds with the same nauseatingly uniform pattern across the country: Slander the family, isolate the conservatee, pillage the estate, deny standing to anyone that could challenge the conservatorship, send your "ward" to a nursing home where she is subject to inferior care, and so forth? Incredible? Certainly. But insane? Sadly not. We know what we are seeing, and it's the same old story everywhere. You are nothing but a crook with a bar license, with absolutely no credibility. Corruption in California is rampant.

Your problem right now, Mr. Horspool, is that you and your cronies have done this too many times and now there are hundreds if not thousands of cases just like Janet's out there. You can't sweep it under the carpet anymore by calling everyone crazy, there are just too many. It starts to look more like maybe you are eally a white collar criminal.

...and yes, everything DOES "fall into place after that", when you realize that you and your minions are simply racketeers, but not necessarily the way you might like. People do not like being robbed and imprisoned even if you can geta court to grant it. It makes them very angry. I am dying to hear the true story about all of this, someday.

The only person who would do something like that to another is a pedaphile and one who has no remourse. Do not critize anybody else except yourself, You did it and you cannot get away with the abuse because others have seen you do it to the ward. Most people like you want to eliminate the family or friends or want to get people to follow, hurt them, stalk them, or just let say run them off the road or outright ruin them for life. It seems you have been doing this for years, stop critizing and start doing something nice for once in you life.

Mr Horspool, let me assure you I take Janet Phelan very seriously, and let me assure you I will be honoring her request to contact the DA's office not once, not twice, but as long as it takes to make them do their job, look into and prosecute any and all guardianship racketeering schemes and scams, and any and all dirty officers of the Court, beneficiaries of those racketeeering guardianship schemes and scams. Ms Phelan is a courageous and respectable reporter, while you, Mr Horspool, are a disgrace to your profession

Judge's, Attorney's and Guardians are ruling the elderly people incompetent to steal there money there homes and there lives. If you seen the Fox News investigative stories, each one of these women were in deed Competent, just as my mother, Yvonne Sarhan. I have been fighting my case for 5 years, I can tell you that Judge Arthur Rothenberg, Judge Norman Gerstein and Judge Bruce Levy Recused themselves off my case for a reason. The facts of my case are simple, bring in your own people into the case and start stealing the assets as fast as possible. My mothers court appointed attorney, Enrique Zamora was representing my mother and the guardian of my mother at the same time and lied, denying this representation. The Judges, Attorneys and Guardians are running a racketeering scheme right out of the Judge's chambers. Now, if anyone of us public citizens were involved in these crimes, we would be in jail, and the Governor of Florida would try to take the credit. However, because these are Judge's, Attorneys and Guardians, the Florida Bar and this Government protects them. What would happen if the New York times and the Miami Herald would print on the Front Page tomorrow, thousands of Judge's Attorneys and Guardians from around the country were arrested today for Elderly Abuse and Exploitation for Guardianship Fraud? They have been arrested for Racketeering, Extortion, Violation of Constitutional Rights, Violation of Civil Rights, Elderly Abuse and Exploitation and more crimes consistent with Elderly Abuse aqnd Exploitation. I ask you what would are citizens do? I have spoken with Janet Phalen, she is well spoken and whoever critisizes her, must be involved in this horrible crime of Elderly ABuse and Exploitation or Guardianship Fraud.

The world is already aware of the morally and ethically challenged who have used our legal system to market our dearest and most vulnerable citizens, robbing them of their rights, health, properties, and liberties. "We the people" are awakened and we will continue to awaken. After we see that the evil legal predators are held accountable in an honorable court of law, we will make sure that there is a registry to track and reveal the identity of such predators. Where ever they move, they will be marked to warn citizens of their evil and predatory character. Apparently, you are already exposed and will continue to be exposed. Your tactics of lies, intimidations, defamation are well recognized. Your recent attacks on Ms. Phelan only prove that your nature, your devious, greedy, and dishonest character is beyond the help of a mental health provider. We view you as a threat to citizens. We will continue to push for you and others who have committed these outrageous crimes to be held legally accountable. We will never allow your deeds to be forgotten.

You are not alone, there are many who share your self serving ways, even at the expense of the wards which are assigned to them by local courts. Maurice Walton commited the same type of crimes in Hood County Court (Tx.. The "good old boy" treatment serve Mr. Walton well, as the local D.A. would not prosecute the Republican brother of the District Judge. A recent news exposure of the evil, greedy, and predatory actions that are disgracing our courts, stated that "this is all legal". Well, that was not true. Through out the whole process, crimes are committed against the ward, and against citizens who have been robbed of their faith and trust of the courts. It's called "criminal Official misconduct", a felony. An arm of the court must not allow false testimony, or contribute to false testimony, which affects the outcome of the judicial process. Then we must look at all the other laws which are broken, especially at the federal level. It's sad that the local D.A., and others who fail to prosecute these outrageous crimes against citizens are now just as guilty for contributing to the crimes and placing other citizens in jeopardy.

In truth, the guardianship commissioners and judges should be sent home to deposit their filth in their own nests. The stench they left in the "judicial" system will linger a lifetime.

The guardians and their free-loading attorneys should be jailed.

We take Janet very seriously , I quess that makes us all mentally ill!
