How is this new scandal any different than the old one? If it's the same, then both presidents suck, right? Reagan gets a pass on the Contra affair because Republicans "forget the details" too often. If a Democrat was seated at that time, I'm betting you would remember enough about the thing to have brought it up yourself.

so·cial·ism
noun
1. a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.
2. procedure or practice in accordance with this theory.
3.(in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.
Just so everyone knows the real defintion. According to the histories of other great nations that failed, we seem to be heading for a dictatorship, not socialism. Pay close attention to the words being used by today's republicans. "I demand" seems to be very common in their rhetoric. I watch a lot of CSpan. We should be very afraid, but not of Obama.
So you are saying that when Obama says he will go around Congress to get what he wants done and, more importantly, does it that you don't have a problem with that? Our constitution was set up with checks and balances in place to prevent too much power going to one group or person. This president has continually gone around the constitution to get what he wants. Do you know what group has the most power under our constitution? The American people do. Can you honestly sit there and say that the people have the most power in America today? To be fair, Obama isn't to blame for this but he is the one that has stopped taking baby steps and started taking giant leaps in stealing our freedoms and power over our government. You are suggesting that it is republicans that want a dictatorship yet I don't hear any of them saying that they should step around another branch of government in order to get what they want yet it is Obama DOING just that and not republicans. I think you need to re-look at who wants to be a dictator.

The Gold Urinal

Before Obama was elected President he went to see Bill and Hillary for some campaign advice, at their spacious home.

After drinking several glasses of iced tea, he asked Bill Clinton if he could use his personal bathroom.

When he entered Clinton's private toilet, he was astonished to see that Clinton had a solid gold urinal! Wow!

That afternoon, Obama told his wife, Michelle, about the urinal. "Just think,' he said,'when I am President, I too could have a gold urinal. But I wouldn't have something so self-indulgent!"

Later, when Michelle had lunch with Hillary, she told Hillary how impressed Obama had been at his discovery of the fact that, in his private bathroom, Bill had a gold urinal.

That evening, when Bill and Hillary were getting ready for bed, Hillary smiled, and said to Bill:

"I found out who peeed in your saxophone."

Obama has never gone around the constitution. He started using executive orders because congress won't do their jobs. Executive orders are within the rules of our government. What freedoms has he stolen? The republicans aren't telegraphing their punches by telling us they'll "step around" any branch of government. They just continually say "I demand" and "I forbid." I don't need to re-look; I can see clearly what will happen if they get total control.

Let the man propose a workable plan and we will see how quick the Repubicans will jump on a real solution. We just keep throwing money at problems with no long term solution in mind, it makes friends, it buys votes, we feel good for awhile, but it solves nothing. If either side proposed what this country needs, they would not get elected, we vote based on what we want to hear not whay we need to hear.

Then stop waiting, get off your butts and propose something that the country can live with, not just a stop gap measure, a real workable plan. Make us look bad, present a real plan. Forget the polls, the special interest groups, give us something that will make the country better.

Isn't it the job of the people that DON'T like the plan to come up with something?

OBAMA IRONY:
“The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is actually proud of the fact it is distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever.
Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to “Please Do Not Feed the Animals.” Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves.”
This concludes today’s lesson.

So children should go hungry because you subscribe to the Yogi Bear/ Jellystone park way of thinking? You just equated people with animals.

I don't know how you relate starving children with a cartoon series. You liberals are too cavalier when it comes to people not taking care of their own, you would rather see children starve than have their parents support them. You might be "luvin every minute of it" but some of us want what is best for those kids, it isn't a joke to us.

We are waiting for his plan, heck, we might like it. I mean he has done such a bang up job so far. I am hoping for a government subsidy, I have invented a solar powered flash light, a hundred million for R&D and I believe I can get it to work in the dark. I am also hoping to sell dehydrated water to the military, it is considered a green product since it weighs less when shipped.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Aquarius

You're very feisty and energetic and there's a lot you want to achieve. You'll get rather impatient if anyone stands in your way. A close emotional relationship will either be sexy and exciting beyond belief, or bad-tempered and tetchy. If you're in a grumpy mood, try to work out why - and what would improve matters. One thing that's bound to help is physical exercise, because it will burn off any excess nervous energy.
