Cheryl, are you the lady from Long Island, NY? I was hoping you are still doing your ceramic pieces? You never sent out a mailing with your new address. I would LOVE to purchase some more of your work!

Is this only once a year? I can't find much info about it for some friends who will be cycling thru Rockmart. They love community festivals!

It is an annual festival with arts and crafts, good food (beginning with an awesome breakfast at the Methodist Church just across the street)including bar-b-q, funnel cakes (downtown restaurants are also open), music, local performers (bands, dance groups, etc.), a rubber duck race, car show, games and other things for kids (those jumping thingys, they have had a climbing wall, etc.) and it is held in a shaded park with a big creek running alongside (kids enjoy a dip in that as well). Saturday night ends with a fireworks extravaganza. The Silver Comet Trail runs just alongside the park where this is held. We go every year and it is good fun.

Kids swimming in the creek in their clothes - what a vision every year.

The breakfast last year at the church sucked. What happened?

No one says you MUST eat breakfast at the church. You can graze if you've a mind to. As for kids in the creek in their clothes -- where did you grow up?? I grew up in an exclusive are of Atlanta and we used to go in the creek in our clothes and it was great fun -- kids are kids -- they love doing things that we may not find so appealing anymore. Why so negative???? Sounds like you are a miserable person.

Cop, I truly appreciate the job our law enforcement does but you can stop with the "I can do anything because I wear a badge" attitude. No one likes it and we pay your salary. You are supposed to be there to "help" and "serve" the public; not walk around pounding your chest.

fat kids in wet tshirts just scream REDNECK. Where you grew up doesn't necessarily give you class honey.

Look in the mirror, dear, you lack class and cooth and are apparently a real scrooge when it comes to kids enjoying good fun rather than running the streets. How you dress certainly doesn't remove the "redneck" either, HONEY.

The church can do without your money, sweetie. We don't want to take a chance on some of your snobbery rubbing off on anyone. Just stay home all that day and pretend you are upper class.

All the more reason you should try to bathe and brush your teeth more than once a week.

I go there to enjoy breakfast every year and have never been treated anything but the best and have always enjoyed the food. MY church is Victory.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Virgo

If something is weighing on your mind it will start to affect your health, Virgo. It might make you feel tired or depressed, or it could dominate your thoughts. You know what you should do about it, of course, but it seems like too much effort or you want to pretend that it doesn't exist. Unfortunately, this escapist attitude won't make the problem go away and might even make it more tricky by the time you finally decide to tackle it.
