With the fairly recent deaths of my grandparents and nephew in the military, I can assure you that I did notice those who pulled over. I did notice the pedestrians who stood and removed hats. And to the older gentleman who actually stepped out of his car and saluted..thank you. Some may be inconvenienced or see these acts as silliness. It gave me great comfort to know that many strangers made an effort to show respect for both the living and the dead.
