Moving to Aurora

I am thinking about moving to Aurora. Can anyone tell me about this town? What are the people like there? How are the schools? Jobs? Anyone with any details about it.....I am all ears.

The school system is alright, no real jobs to speak of unless you want to make dogfood. Not a bad place to live, spent 10 years there.

I live in Marionville (nothing to brag about). I would stay clear away from Aurora. It has the same small town attitude; if you weren't born here, you don't belong. I have heard nothing but negative about the school system. I use to live outside of Phoenix, and if I had to do it again. I would not pick a small town MO town to live in!

Thank you for letting me know. I know exactly what you mean about small towns in Missouri....you would think that they would behave a little better cause the towns are so small. Hope things look up for you! Think of it this way...you could be dealing with the heat back home! he he he

Very true, there are better towns than Aurora but it isn't all that bad. The biggest knock is the shape of the town. They refuse to let any businesses in, so they have no money to beautify.

small Missouri towns suck! I was raised in Monett and I would not wish living in a SW Missouri town on my worst enemy...If you have any option go for it. With respect and best wishes. Robert.
ps Living in Oklahoma is far superior.

I couldnt dissagree with you any more.aurora may be a small town,but it is very nice there so i dont think you should critisize aurora...marionville isnt any better.
