MCHS soccer was def. at its peak then. He also did the awesome handspring throw-in. Probably less effective than a regular one, but 100 times cooler.

I played and graduated with Junior and that whole team worked and played so well together. Junior, Anthony, Willie, Brian-Lane and Halcomb, Ryan Stegar, Russel Curtis, I know I'm leaving some of them out but it's been years ya' know. I think Willie even had the state record for shut-outs for a while. You just can't beat a team if you can't score on them. I remember once, like it was yesterday, when an opposing team fan was heckling Jr. and he gave the guy the bird, did his flip throw in and we scored off a header. Amazing the things you remember so long after they happened. So back to the point, I think you need to clarify how you're picking the best; shut outs, goals, achievements, or what they did for the soccer playing community. Isn't Anthony still coaching at Georgetown or has he moved on?

i think it should be clarified by saying which person the team counted on the most. they all were awesome players, but which person did the most to help the team win. i played with them and we had sheets giving to us with all the records from those years. and i am not sure the year we made it to the state finals if ballard wasnt on our team if we would have went that far along with a few others, but he lead the team in goals and assists that year, and dont forget about rodney miles who lead 2 nd in those categories. brian minich and robbie cole who was on defense and held it together helping willie get all those shut outs.the all american pick was a joke and everyone knows it.

Yeah the teams back then had heart and dedication! The coaches cared about their players and vice versa. Hands down they were and will continue to be the best this town has seen.
